This is not a bad hotel, but the high reviews are quite surprising considering my recent experience. From other reviews I assumed this hotel was quite accessible and nice overall. Well, I immediately had my doubts when we began out trek from Milan Centrale to the hotel. After a good 20-25 minute walk while hauling our carry on luggage we finally arrived. I was under the impression that the hotel was much much closer to the station. Maybe we had just great luck with the rest of our hotel locations during our Italy trip, but we didn't realize just how far this hotel is from the sites of Milan. It's far. We took the taxi a lot - which yes, we could have walked 10-minutes to a nearby subway station to then travel to the duomo area but as we neared the end of our travels that felt entirely too daunting. Also, the room was hot and incredibly stuffy the entire time. Being an eco friendly hotel there were seemingly strict controls on the room temperature, which I would have loved to be aware of before choosing this hotel. We also were unfortunately assigned a first floor room right off the lobby which was incredibly loud and we were more hesitant to leave our windows open for airflow (two women traveling alone and all that). But the room was well laid out and very clean. Would I stay here again? No, but to be fair it wasn't awful. Just be aware of the location and the room temperature situation.
