Reviews of Econo Lodge Karratha

This is about the 3rd or 4th time I have stayed here and it never fails to impress. The rooms are clean, modern and well kept. The multiple bbq facilities which include salt. pepper, seasonings, oil, tin foil etc is all free. These sit belong shade clothes and beautiful green gardens. And the staff, including the lovely young lady from Blackpool are so friendly and welcoming, a pleasure to deal with. If you need somewhere to stay in Karratha, please try here, you won't regret it.

Not a bad hotel for a small town

Everything was good. Staff was friendly. Would be better if there were many more faciilities available for guests such as swimming pool & gymnasium.

The room is simple, the counter is often empty and you need to call to ask, there is nothing to eat nearby

Place is ok, handy for Karratha, clean and the office friendly and approachable. But don't get the meal package. They send you to Stadium 26, a sports bar in town. The service there is very poor but if you dare complain you will be told its your fault because people at the table ordered different meals, or you got there too late (7.30), or you didn't order in advance. Avoid!

GREAT PLACE TO STAY very quiet, clean ,comfortable bed, hot water and air conditioning that works ... Lovely out side area to sit and eat with very clean barbecue"s. in a lovely setting Microwave in unit with some plates supplied. Great friendly manager. and staff who made our unexpected extended stay easy by giving me day to day option on room. (car break down) this was a return visit and will stay again when visiting family

The basic room is quite small and quite dark, as there is just a small window. The beds were good. We got lots of towels and there was a Nespresso coffee machine, although ours was not working properly. Owner/manager was very helpful. The rooms have sitting area, but there is a courtyard BBQ sitting area which can be used. We used this to enjoy our meal and breakfast. Unfortunately is that this can be used by smoking quests as well. That is actually the only negative comment I have. We stayed there twice during our trip in WA. The first time two nights and we booked after this stay for one more night on the way back. Good value for money.

A little bit out of town which is why I hadn’t stayed here before. On arrival my first thought was “mining camp” with a bunch of transportables surrounding a rectangular courtyard. I was waiting for a bus load of smokers in hiviz to crowd the courtyard but it didn’t happen. It was actually very quiet and relaxing and I did enjoy it. Rooms are nice and spacious with fridge, microwave, kettle and some plates/ cutlery. Aircon was cold and quiet and the room was very dark if you wanted it to be. The only thing I’d improve would be the cleanliness of the shower… it was a little average. The closest place I could find for a beer was 2.5kms away so you’d need a taxi or a good pair of walking shoes to hit the bar. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the price was “fair for Karratha.”
