Family-friendly Hotels in Minamiuonuma

It was used during the 2022 Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale. The main building, where the lobby is located, is an old private house built in the Meiji period and has been designated as a registered tangible cultural property. This modern Japanese-style hotel has been recognized as a three-star hotel in the Michelin Guide Niigata 2020. The calculated space design has a sense of overkill, but it is calming. I stayed in Classic C-type Room 305 (Komatsu), a twin bed placed on a 10 tatami mat, a space next to 4.5 tatami mats and 3 tatami mats, and a reading space facing the front. It was a bit too large for a couple, but the 3 tatami mats were occupied by chairs and were a little inconvenient. Dinner is a full-course meal called ”Snow Country Gastronomy” based on ingredients and traditional dishes that have been eaten in the snow country for generations. Although the taste was above the level, there was no dish that left an impression with the orthodox menu structure. Although it is a different world once you pass through the gate, it is close to the city area and is along National Route 291, which runs parallel to the Uonuma River, so the location is not very environmentally friendly. It's not bad if you decide to stay home.

I was recommended at Uonuma no Sato at Hakkaiyama Brewery and went to a day trip hot spring. The reception of the day trip hot spring was put in by 15:00. It was a good time, so I went to the mixed bathing open-air bath. The dressing room and washing place are separate 々 mixed baths, and the rock baths of the indoor baths that flow directly from the source are small 々 hot and comfortable hot water, and about 80% are partitioned by bamboo walls. The large open-air bath that can be taken out of the mixed bath is very large and there is no roof, and it felt a little lukewarm if it was not near the hot water mouth, probably because of the folding snow. The small open-air bath, which was separated from the large open-air bath, was just the right temperature of the hot springs, making use of the hot springs. I was satisfied with the atmosphere of a hot spring inn in the lobby.

The hotel was an old building, stayed for two nights, and went into the hall to smell a little kerosene. The room that stayed in the first night was really hard to say. The first night's accommodation experience felt that it was expensive to go out and suffer. The price was not cheap. Visited many times in skiing. Hotel stay is the first time. Satisfied and booked with twin. It was a 6 floor room, opposite to Geren, but the view was good, the room was large, and there was no step with the bathroom 〇. I stayed overnight for skiing at Ishiuchi Maruyama Ski Resort. A few meters walk from the hotel is the slope. It was a very convenient location. There was no tissue, and instead there was a hard paper towel. Towels are one bath towel and one towel. I wanted to have a towel in the toilet and washbasin at least. Is it cost reduction? The hot spring is a small one with 4 washrooms. It is the size that other hotels seem to use as a rental bath. I thought it was okay because the number of rooms was small, but it was so crowded that we could wait in front and back. Moreover, the amount of hot water supply seems to be quite limited, and when four people use the washing place at the same time, hot water does not come out. I was in trouble because it suddenly changed to water. I made a reservation in late January at the beginning of September because the number of meals I could provide was quite small, but even if there were a lot of rooms, I could only make a reservation without meals and meals. Aside from dinner, it was quite inconvenient that breakfast was not served. I thought it would be a little luxury rental villa. The location is good, so I would like to relax this time on weekdays instead of weekends.
