I had an very unpleasant experience and this should be my first and the last staying in this hotel with the rate that I am paying I believe I can get something way better in town. Room aircon is down, front desk refused to change room and sent me a cooler which is not working at all. And I have to open the door of my room to let the cool air from the walkway to come in. I insisted to change the room and yes I managed to get it however to a floor when room located just right in front of the exit where used by the hotel staff. They bang the door everytime enter or exit no matter what time is it. It can be started from 5 plus in the morning to mid night as long as they uses the door throughout the day. I totally haa no rest staying in the hotel for 3 days 2 nights.

Nice place to stay, very convinient as the mall is beside the hotel and easily accessible

The room did have a city and sea view though which was lovely. but after releasing all the damn load in their toilet bowl we have discovered that the bloody toilet bowl is blocked, flushing makes things float! 😂 Aircond is working fine. food is okay, limited in choices for breakfast spread.

The hotel location is good, attached at Parkson, a mall where have lot of choices for foods

This hotel is great place to stay if you wish to go out for shopping as it is attached to Bintang Megamall.

Good service and facilities. Only the aircond abit hot and abit noisy. The toilet flush also need to service.

I enjoy stay at this hotel. Room is big and can c the sea view from my room at level 14

It was good overall but bad in service. My room electrical supply was tripped due to hair dryer in the toilet and the technician suggest to get portable hair dryer from housekeeping. I requested through receptionist and somehow they don’t have portable hair dryer. Ended up they offered to go to som le vacant room to use the hair dryer. I requested for extra towel since we have to use the towel in the room to dry us up after swimming in the pool but they charge RM30 for each towel so I just use my wet towel instead.

Tried calling the hotel several times but were not answered. The staff claimed they were only two of them on duty. The room we stayed in on the 16th floor was hot. When I informed front desk, they said it has been like that since last year. I wished it was advertised as such. Such a disappointing stay.

We loved this hotel. Good size room, comfortable bed, modern bathroom with bath. Breakfast was great too, offering choice for Weastern and Malaysian tastes. The pool area also very lovely. And there is a gym too which we didn't use. The staff were brilliant - all of them! Their smiles making guests feel very welcome. We would stay at the Meritz again for sure!

Positive : spacious room, location attach to mall, good breakfast, comfort bed, bathtub Negative : room quite old, smelly carpet along corridor, hot water not working during morning, slow water pressure

I have booked this hotel for my supervisor who has a meeting with Shell Miri. This is his favourite hotel if he went to Miri and he likes it very much. Very clean and comfortable. Recomended
