Reviews of Ryokan Ohashi

This was far beyond my expectations! I tried their day-trip service when I visited Misacho last time, and I already decided I'd definitely come back for it. This time, seeing the great value, I decided to go for it. The cave onsen truly exceeded my expectations; my body felt warm and cozy long after I finished soaking—it was so comfortable!! Of all the onsen I've tried in Japan, this is definitely the best!! The room was also very comfortable, and the blankets were incredibly soft!! I'll definitely come back!!

This is a perfect inn, with a long history and beautiful exterior and interior. The dinner was the best I've ever had at a Japanese inn. The rooms were large with river views, and the hot spring was very comfortable and unique.

This historic traditional Japanese hotel is spotless, with incredibly warm and attentive service, amazing hot springs, and excellent food. It's a hotel I would definitely look forward to staying at again!

The natural rock cave hot spring was fantastic! (⁎⁍̴̛ᴗ⁍̴̛⁎)‼ The hotel interior was very Japanese-style and clean. The service was good. The food was also excellent. You need to book a shuttle bus in advance to get to the hotel from Kurayoshi Station. A bus will take you to Kurayoshi Station after check-out.

The hotel is beautiful, very private and quiet, perfect for a peaceful vacation. The food and hot springs are also excellent; highly recommended.

Booking a station shuttle was really difficult; I couldn't find any way to contact them other than making international calls or calling from the station. Facebook, Instagram, and email were practically useless, and the website's inquiry section was broken. The hotel itself is an old one, the onsen (hot spring) was great, and the food was decent, but it was a bit of a shame that the seasonal crab didn't have the freshness and sweetness it needed; it was a bit salty overall. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but one of the female staff members seemed a little casual in her service. Overall, the value for money wasn't high; I might choose another option next time.

It's inconvenient not having a bus service on snowy days, and the service staff also seem impatient.

It is a historical building with a pure Japanese style, and is registered as a tangible cultural property. The Mitoku River is beautiful in the river view room. I think it is rare to find a ryokan facing a river like this even in Misasa Onsen. After filling out the guest book, we headed to our room. It is spacious and luxurious. It is non-smoking, and it is far from the city, so the air is clean. I was surprised at how spacious it was. It is right next to the river, so dragonflies and other creatures are flying around beyond the window glass. The bath is a rock cave bath, which is synonymous with this ryokan, but there are designated times for men and women to use, so we recommend arriving early. The rock cave bath is a so-called radioactive spring, with radium springs and thorium springs. I had never heard of thorium springs before, but this is the only ryokan in Misasa Onsen that has them. And it is only one of the five. It is wonderful to be able to enjoy these multiple springs at the same time. The meal is a banquet meal served one dish at a time. It is elaborate and delicious. It is unfortunate that there were no bowls, or rather, it was just green tea soba, but even with that in mind, the dinner was delicious.

I went to eat crab. In a room without a bath, I chose a dish that included crab sashimi and crab shabu. This inn is a designated nationally registered tangible cultural property and has an elegant atmosphere. The large public bath has a rock-cut bath and a murmuring bath (cypress bath and marble bath). The rock-cut bath is a large natural bath made from a hot spring gushing out of the Mitoku River. It felt like being in nature and I was able to relax and relax. I also took a bath in Mochi Seseragi no Yu (morning). Meals are served at the restaurant (a large hall similar to a banquet hall), and the food is crab-filled. The quantity was just right and it was delicious. I was glad that the inn's waitress (male) was kind and courteous. My father suddenly collapsed while we were eating, but they responded quickly.
