Four Points by Sheraton Mississauga Meadowvale

With the World Cup approaching, hotel prices in Mississauga started to surge from June. This Four Points by Sheraton stood out as the best option in terms of overall facilities and value for money. The room was quite spacious, though the amenities felt a bit dated. They offer free parking, which is a huge plus for guests with rental cars, especially since I've paid as much as $22 a night for parking at the Delta hotel before. The surroundings are quite sparse, with basically no restaurants or shopping malls within walking distance. For meals, you either have to drive out or eat at the hotel's own restaurant. It's about a 20-minute drive from the hotel to Square One and roughly 15 minutes to the outlet mall. I stayed for a week, and the room was cleaned impeccably every day. The basic amenities were all there, and the showerhead in the bathroom was fantastic – great water pressure for a really comfortable shower, perfect for washing away a day's fatigue.

The hotel is a bit old and the facilities are just okay. The heating unit was quite noisy. You'll need a taxi to find places to eat nearby. However, it's pretty close to the outlet mall, about a 15 CAD taxi ride away.
