Moana Lake is right opposite the hotel, with beautiful scenery. The hotel's front desk and restaurant are together. The restaurant's dishes are good. The boss will also introduce you to the route map for short walks around. It is very good and is the first choice for local travel.

We stayed at Hotel Lake Brunner for one night for our Tranzalpine package. The hotel picked us up from the train & took us back for our return journey. We enjoyed an afternoon platter, hot tub, dinner & a cooked breakfast- all part of the deal. The menu for dinner was extensive & everything for all meals was delicious. The room was spacious & warm with a great bed. We really enjoyed our stay here with lovely views & an easy walk to the lake & walks by the lake. The highlight for us though were the genuinely nice & down to earth staff. Thank you to each of you for your wonderful customer service - always with a smile.

Absolutely amazing food! Hospitality amazing !!! Served by Tasman amazing service !!!! Also Sanju was very helpful and friendly !!! Beautiful Hotel with fantastic view 10/10!!! ❤️ highly recommend to locals and tourists ! Menu has fantastic variety !!! Just amazing !!

Food and staff were really good. It was nice to be able to stay in such a wonderful old building. However, the mattresses were terrible. I had to sleep in the single bed and leave hubby in the double. Laying down, it sank so much your legs were higher than your stomach. Very uncomfortable 😕 so much for a romantic getaway!!! Bathrooms could do with a deep clean. We didn't expect luxury at the price we paid but did expect a bed that we could sleep in.

We stayed for one night when driving to the West Coast. The studio room was clean and comfortable, we had a nice view of the lake from our room. It was quiet at night despite the hotel being full and being adjacent to the public bar below. Our one disappointment was that our included Continental Breakfast had to be ordered the night before so when the morning arrived, it was too late. We were not asked at check-in if it was required or advised that it had to be pre-ordered. One must never assume! Otherwise it was a comfortable stay.

This is ok property as it’s little older but great value for money. They stayed late on 25th to make sure we are taken care when we reach.
