The hotel is in a very convenient location. The room is very clean and the bed is comfortable. The hotel owner and staff are very nice and helpful.

Edel Emotional Domus Et Luxury Hotel (what a mouthful) is an all round excellent place to stay in Modica. It’s located overlooking the hills and a twenty minute walk from the station. My room was large with a small balcony and a fridge stocked with soft drinks. I used the coffee machine in the kitchen on a couple of occasions and enjoyed a relaxing soak in one of their jacuzzis. Overall, the hotel was excellent value for money for what you get. I really enjoyed my stay and would certainly recommend Edel to anybody visiting the town. I only wish I had managed to book the Library Room. One small negative addition at the end of a five star review. It’s a pity breakfast couldn’t be provided at the hotel. A voucher was provided, although this only let me get a coffee and a croissant and I had to pay for my cream cake! As I had paid for two people perhaps I should have been given two vouchers. But never mind! This is only a speck on what is otherwise an amazing review of such a wonderful hotel.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel. I think we were the only guests that night. There was no onsite resteraunt but were given excellent advice on options and the meal we had down the street was excellent. The breakfast was included and at a local coffee shop which was amazing! Would definatley stay again

I loved everything about this place. It's a private home, built in the late 19th century for a prominent local family who still live there and rent out four rooms on the main floor. I stayed in the Time Suite, and loved the comfortable bed and enormous bathtub. In some ways it's more like an Airbnb--the owners are available if needed, but there's no restaurant, gym, or business centre, and the front desk isn't staffed at night. But what you get is a sense of being a welcome guest in a beautiful house, with access to a lovely garden, a rooftop hot tub, a large and well-stocked kitchen, and plenty of common space. Staying here is a unique experience and very reasonably priced.

From the comfy beds, to the killer views, to the lovely gardens with jacuzzi (yes, believe it, we got in the jacuzzi in the heat of august in the evening when it cooled off and it felt fantastic!), to the most kind and warm staff possible, this was a great stay I would recommend to anyone visiting Modica. Not to mention the perfect location to all things local!

My wife and I made our reservation through ***********, this was for a suite with balcony, breakfast included. We arrived for our 3 night stay late afternoon to be met by the owner/manager? who checked us in. We were informed that breakfast was not being offered in the hotel and we were given vouchers for a cafe downtown in Modica ! 1. Two routes to the cafe, 1.5km round trip by road, or 1.4 km using 68 steps down to the main road, and then 68 steps back up on the return journey !. Walking was the only solution with parking being an impossibility 2. At the cafe I was told the voucher had a value of €5, that gave me an orange juice, coffee and croissant - no jam. 3. Through the tourist board office we attempted to contact the hotel, the person who checked us in had disappeared, never to remerge during our entire stay, never anybody at reception. 4. Balcony, yes, but just capable in letting a person stand 5. TV, no International channels 6. An ancient bed that creaked at the slightest movement 7 .Hospitality tray but with no milk provided 8. Usually we would expect a settee or comfortable chair in a suite, we had a table and 4 chairs 9. Terraced garden on several levels, only seating metal chairs 10. Street parking impossible, free parking 450 metres away It is a travesty to call this a luxury hotel Be warned

A truly unique beautiful place to stay! Great location in palace home with interesting architecture and gorgeous serene terraces. Our room was huge with multiple French doors and small terrace overlooking the city hillsides. The bed was comfortable and robes/slippers made for a relaxing stay. Unique en suite bath in former library. The main communal terrace was an exquisite place to enjoy a quiet dinner overlooking the hillsides. Our host was gracious, kind and accommodating and helped us with parking which was very much appreciated. This property is not to be missed! Wish we could’ve stayed longer!

This property is in the middle of Old Town Modica! Has private rooms, but three rooftop areas to take in vistas of the town…one that has two hot tubs even!

Last minute decision to stay at this charming sophisticated and welcoming place. Stayed in the Suite. Spacious room, high ceilings, fantastic bathroom, great view over the town and welcoming hosts. They welcomed my two little dogs, that's a winner for me! Honesty bar, spotlessly clean, a gem! Thank you for giving us such a relaxing time!
