Agriturismo Il Melograno

We spent 3 nights at this delightful agriturismo, which was incredibly peaceful, nestled in the Modica countryside. Ivana made us feel right at home with her warm hospitality, treating us to typical dishes from Ragusan cuisine. Mornings started with sumptuous breakfasts featuring freshly baked cakes. Our room was spacious and stylishly furnished. We wholeheartedly recommend it!

Ms. Ivana was exceptional – kind, helpful, accommodating, and truly went above and beyond! We had a fantastic meal, from the appetizers right through to the main course. Breakfast was simple but good. The rooms were clean and spacious. I highly recommend it; if I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

Great Stay - A Well-Deserved Review. We stayed for 3 nights at this rural agriturismo, and despite the affordable price, we were a bit wary of any last-minute unpleasant surprises. We had nothing to worry about. With another couple, we were looking for a last-minute option in the Modican countryside, amidst the dry stone walls and the prevailing tranquility (especially in winter). Well, if you're not seeking luxury but rather a good base for exploring Old Modica, Scicli, and Ragusa Ibla, then this is the place for you. It offers excellent value for money, clean rooms, and extremely courteous staff. Navigating the country roads can be tricky, but Google Maps does its job well. Breakfast was basic but featured genuine milk straight from the farm, homemade biscuits, and local 'zero-kilometer' cheeses. Traditional milk, chocolate, and fruit were also available. For savory breakfast lovers, options were less abundant, though hard-boiled eggs, cheese, and some cold cuts were still offered. Everything, however, felt authentic and wasn't mass-produced. For lunch, we had a rich (and rustic) appetizer, baked lasagna, and meat, all served in generous portions sure to satisfy any foodie. A highlight was the homemade dessert (cannoli and citrus cake). Temperatures were low during our stay... perhaps more efficient heat pumps in the rooms would have earned it a 5th star. On that note, a heater for the bathroom was promptly provided. Overall, both the impression and the experience were positive, and this review unequivocally reflects that.

Ivana, the hostess, is truly exceptional in every regard. She is always on hand and goes above and beyond to cater to the needs of even the most discerning guests. Guests can savor cheeses, fresh ricotta, caponata, and many other authentic local delicacies at this agriturismo. The cleanliness and peaceful atmosphere of the place are also excellent. Highly recommended!

The gate at this farm stay is incredibly sturdy; even the Beabaldis haven't ended up in orthopedics because of it! I'm holding off on reviewing the food for now, as the 'giro pizza' (all-you-can-eat pizza service) hasn't kicked off yet. For now, it's a solid five stars. I'll update you later on how the rest of the evening goes!

We stayed at this farm stay for one night. We were welcomed by Ivana, the manager, who was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive to all our requests. We had dinner outdoors, featuring local produce, all prepared by Ivana. The carob honey paired with cheeses was superb. The room was spacious and clean, with simple, rustic decor. Breakfast was fantastic, and the freshly milked and pasteurized milk is a must-try. You can also purchase products such as farm-grown legumes and more.

We had a great time. The place is magical, and the surrounding landscape is full of positive energy. Mrs. Ivana is fantastic, thoughtful, and attentive to our needs. She even cooked two custom dinners for us! I highly recommend it for rest and relaxation.
