Santa Maria 24 is a beautiful collection of spacious apartments with a lovely little restaurant downstairs for breakfast and apertivo/ dinner. It’s tucked in a quiet part of the Centro storico and about 15-20 min walk to the train station. Units either face a small square or the sea ( these have stunning views ). Could not recommend this accommodation enough. Highlights were Guisy/Francesco at the reception who were super sweet and ready to help with any questions/concerns. Pick up/drop off with the little red ‘24’ car from the train station was also a delight!

Our stay at Santa Maria 24 in Monopoli was truly memorable. The view from our top-floor suite was absolutely breathtaking—worth every step of the climb. Service throughout our stay was exceptional. When we arrived in Monopoli by car, we were given clear, detailed instructions on where to meet a driver and park in a nearby garage. From there, we were whisked through the winding, narrow streets in the cutest little car, right to the doorstep of the property. Our luggage was carried all the way up (no elevator, so it’s a five-flight climb), and once we reached the suite, we were rewarded with panoramic views that felt straight out of a postcard. The only drawback was an occasional odor that appeared in the room. When we mentioned it to management, they immediately knew what we meant—apparently, when the wind shifts, a smell can rise through the old plumbing system. They’ve tried everything to resolve it, but it’s a quirk of the historic building. Fortunately, it did go away, but it was a bit off-putting at first. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. Breakfast each morning felt luxurious—homemade cakes, eggs, cheeses, yogurt, fresh juice, cappuccinos, and more. And the village of Monopoli itself was utterly enchanting, like something out of a fairy tale. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return if we’re lucky enough to visit again.

Impressive large apartment hotel via stairs 4 floors of rooms stocked bright apartment either overlooking the harbour or th Many apartments have a view, however unfortunately some of the balconies or Juliet balconies (open door only) are in the bedroom and not in the living area (room 6). Room 7 has 2 Juliet balconies - one in the bedroom and one in the living area. In either case, there is an opportunity for air flow. Some apartments have a small balcony you can stand on. The couch in the living area are not that comfy nor do they align with the television (which has limited Italian channels and no English News or shows. The staff are superb. We stayed at Santa Maria 24 during our family trip through Italy, and it turned out to be one of the absolute highlights of our journey. We had the city view room for four on the fourth floor, and it was perfect—spacious, spotless, and really comfortable. We loved being right above the main square, where you could hear the soft hum of the piazza and the hotel’s restaurant below—it gave us such a great sense of the town’s energy, but never felt too loud or busy. The rooftop terrace was another favorite spot for us. The views of the sea and old town were incredible, and it was the perfect place to relax in the sun while the kids took a breather. Breakfast each morning was a real treat—plenty of fresh, high-quality choices, with delicious homemade pastries and savory dishes that clearly had a lot of care put into them. The team also thought of all the little extras that made a big difference: they arranged a complimentary transfer to and from the parking garage, packed us takeaway breakfast boxes on our last morning when we had to leave early, and even provided beach towels, a bag, and an umbrella to use during our stay. It made heading to the beach with kids so much simpler and stress-free. On our last night, we had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant downstairs, and it was such a great way to end our stay—amazing food, great service, and just a few steps from our room. We’ve visited Rome, Sorrento, Amalfi, and Matera on this trip, but Monopoli really captured our hearts, and a huge part of that was the warm hospitality at Santa Maria 24. Sandrine and her team were so kind and welcoming—we felt right at home. If you’re visiting Monopoli, don’t think twice—Santa Maria 24 is truly special.

Based on beautiful pics on the website and great rating from fellow visitors, our expectations were high. In the reviews, especially the breakfast was highly praised. When we got there, we were told it's low season and there is no breakfast. I think this should be made clear beforehand because this can be one of the main reasons to choose you - or not to choose you. Now if you check TripAdvisor (or any other online resource) you say breakfast is available, and it even says so in the brochure that has been placed in the apartment. If that is not the case throughout the year, please don't give misleading information. We had the sea view apartment which was fine, clean and spacious, but I would not call it luxury when it comes to the interior, furniture, bathroom or any overall impression. It was fine, but it is not luxury. In the building, there was also some wear and tear, especially in the corridors with dents and stains on the walls. Restaurant serving dinner was very nice with professional staff, good local food and live music on Sundays.

We booked two apartments with access to our own private terrace on the roof. Beautiful building, staff excellent, on site restaurant was fabulous and breakfast the best we have ever had, such a choice of fresh dishes, homemade savouries and sweets, wonderful. Apartments are spotless, position is lovely in the heart of the Old Town, beautifully finished with great attention to detail. Staff in reception and restaurant were so professional and friendly. Great choice!

We stayed at the Santa Maria 24 for three nights. It was bright and modern tucked into a historic beautiful town- along the water. We felt cool in the air conditioning and enjoyed the small kitchen to have snacks and coffee. The breakfast buffet was incredible with fresh pastries, fruits, and many other options. Everyone that works at this hotel it’s very welcoming and accommodating. Also, they have a lovely dinner that you can have in the courtyard! There is a great detail in every turn. 10/10!!
