Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco
4.8/559 Reviews
I instigated this trip to Tuscany with my mom because she’s never been, and to the Rosewood specifically because I’ve always enjoyed my stays in London. And Castiglion del Bosco didn’t disappoint, in the slightest. The staff was so unbelievably kind and thoughtful… even when we had a slight issue with our beautiful room, they were so attentive and proactively upgraded us so we were comfortable and happy. Their attention to detail leaves you feeling completely taken care of. And the resort is exactly what you come for. The guest relations, housekeeping, spa, and winery staff were so lovely, my mom was on cloud 9! Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!
Hotel Dei Capitani
4.2/547 Reviews
Hotel dei Capitani is situated on the edge of Montalcino (only a 5 min walk from the centre) with spectacular views of the valley below. Rooms are quite small but provide wonderful views, a comfy bed and a well equipped bathroom. A good selection of cereals, pastries, etc were provided for breakfast on the terrace overlooking miles of Brunello vineyards below. There are some excellent restaurants in Montalcino so we didn't have dinner in the restaurant.
Si Montalcino Hotel

We booked a week in this facility. What to say ... was all spectacular! The beautiful, wide room (although it would need a new renovated) and above all very clean. Breakfast really good: wonderful cakes, different mornings, salty cakes, sauces and cheese with hot bread, pancakes ( sofas, which my husband loved). The small but very beautiful pool, we used it some afternoon to look for a little cold. The pool fabrics are provided by the facility. Very comfortable and available staff: we felt really cockooted (especially a couple of Campania staff boys with whom we often stopped talking, and who sometimes advised us). All really very nice, it's a pity that the holiday is over ... Compliments for this nice reality, made especially by young people, and we hope to come back soon!
Castello Banfi - Il Borgo

Location 👍 Luxurious Lodging 👍 Exceptional and friendly staff 👍 Photogenic property 👍 Panoramic views of Tuscan Countryside 👍 Complimentary wine 👍 Tasty Breakfast and lunch 👍 My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer than a single day and night. But oh the happy memories from that 24 hour period. Other 5* resorts should have Castello Banfi mentor them. I reviewed the Michelin 1* restaurant La Sala dei Grappoli, Ristorante La Taverna, and the m Enoteca (Excellence Tour) separately, but each segment adds up to an experience not to be missed. Granted , all together it was not a cheap experience but so well worth it and in my mind excellent value for money. This is an ideal location for celebrations, honeymoons or just a quiet getaway from the stress of modern life (my adventure was the latter). If you only had one day to enjoy the Tuscan countryside and wine region, Castello Banfi would be your destination.
