Hotel Torretta

We loved our stay in this very friendly family run hotel. We especially enjoyed the food, three courses every night to choose from and an excellent salad buffet, if you have room! Wine list reasonable too. all served with a smile and nothing too much trouble. The hotel itself is set in gorgeous grounds just slightly uphill from town, which makes it a perfect quiet but convenient location. With a wonderful park just across the way, which you can stroll through into town.We did not want to leave! Montecatini, with having a railway station, was great for exploring many places such as Lucca and Florence. Regular trains.

The Hotel Torretta is a lovely hotel in the spa town of Montecatini Terme, Italy. The hotel is in an excellent position close to the town and funicular railway. It is a short walk to the railway station where regular trains take you to Pisa, Florence and Lucca. The food is very good quality and there are extensive choices at all mealtimes, nothing is too much trouble for the owners and staff. All the rooms have balconies and some of them are overlooking the pool.The pool and gardens are kept immaculate and there is some welcome shade when the sun is too hot.

We had a fantastic stay in this lovely family run hotel. The rooms were big and lovely with comfortable beds and nice sized bathroom. Balcony very nice and having a fridge and safe in the room was great. The hotel had everything you need for a relaxing stay. The food was lovely varied menus and plentiful. The wine beer cocktails great. There are lovely seating areas to enjoy a drink inside and outside along with a great pool and hot tub. We were 5 mins walk from most attractions in the town with parks and shops restaurants and a theatre/opera house. We went to the 3 tenors there and had a very special evening. The train station is 15 mins walk and you can get a train to Florence Pisa Lucca etc. Personally my favourite was lucca well worth a visit and only 10 eur return and half hour journey. I would highly recommend a stay at this excellent hotel in this beautiful town.

I visited this charming hotel from 28th August-8th September as part of a group of 40 people on a Bridge holiday. From the moment we arrived to a very warm welcome, until the moment we left I can honestly say that the Simoncini family and their wonderful staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I’d like to give a special mention to the lovely Anna Lisa on reception who was always extremely helpful and offered some good advice on places to visit. She was happy to print train timetables and other information, always with a smile. The restaurant staff also worked extremely hard looking after our group who had an early dinner every evening. Fabio in particular is wonderful, so helpful and again with a lovely smile, even under pressure. We enjoyed a delicious waiter served 3 course dinner every evening plus there was a salad buffet. The food was freshly cooked with lovely home made soups and pasta plus a choice of 3 main courses. Compliments to the chef and his staff. The weather was generally extremely hot and I really appreciated the excellent air conditioning in my bedroom. The pool was unheated but very refreshing to dip into on a hot afternoon. There are plenty of sun beds although they were a bit hard! One suggestion would be that the hotel maybe invest in some cushions for the sun beds and also maybe have a freezer full of ice creams that could be purchased on hot afternoons. My friend and I probably would have bought one most days! The hotel is very well situated near a beautiful park via which it’s only a 15 minute walk into Montecatini; it’s also only a very short distance from the funicular railway. Thanks so much to everyone at the Hotel Torretta for making my stay so special. I hope to return!

Keep coming here year after year and it still has the same relaxing effect. Service is so friendly with the family atmosphere. Location is great with a short walk to the park and then on to the town centre. Montecatinimso central to explore Tuscany from as well.

I had a wonderful time in this beautiful family run hotel. The staff are so attentive, the hotel is spotless and the pool area is a heavenly spot to enjoy the sunshine and have a swim. When it got too hot (heatwave), I read a book in the air conditioned lounge. It’s a perfect spot in a town that offers many good restaurants. Plus the bonus of getting the funicular up to Montecatini Alto for great views and a lovely square laden with restaurants. Great location also to travel to Pistoia (25 mins on the bus), Florence and Lucca! I would highly recommend!

Hotel Torretta is a very very nice hotel, really peaceful part of town , and serviceminded staff as well. Free parningspaces outsider hotel, Cleanliness, good food. Quiet rooms,and the pool is clean and nice . We Will come back to Hotel Torretta!

What a wonderful family run hotel. From the moment we checked in to the day we left we were treated so well. All the staff are so helpful and obliging, nothing is a problem. The hotel us beautiful positioned about a 15 minute walk into town. I would highly recommend going to Montecatini Alto as the funicular is a short walk away and a great experience, we loved it so much we went four times during out two week . Love it. We will definitely be back

The best service and a beautiful hotel. We have visited the town before but this time brought our three daughters to enjoy this wonderful family run hotel. The service is exceptional and the colleagues like Gabriel and Fabio could not have treated us any better. They were so helpful, all the staff were. The pool and rooms are lovely and the food is excellent. Breakfast was brilliant. We booked directly on their website and we got a great discount on the family suite. Five stars. Highly recommended.
