Tuscany Inn

Hotel was within 10 mins of either train station. Although our room overlooked the train line it wasn't a problem and we appreciated the views of the hills. Food was excellent, there was a small breakfast room for couples and small groups. This was a nice touch as there were a number of large groups and a large party of children attending a choral event in the town. We only ate in the hotel one evening and the meal was very good. Room was clean and all staff were very pleasant helpful and friendly. The only downside was the hotel was in the faded end of town.

Very friendly Staff. Informative and helpful. Room was spotless.The location was easily accessible to the railway station. Breakfast was enjoyable.Self service beverages would be very useful at breakfast. Toiletries and towels in bathroom were adequately provided every day.

I spent two nights at the Tuscany Inn in October 2023 because I wanted to see if it was suitable for hosting 50-60 relatives between the December holidays. Yes, it is very suitable. This hotel is really recommendable: modern, very clean, spacious rooms, excellent conference rooms with IT infrastructure, delicious Tuscan cuisine, right next to the motorway exit, 400m from the train station, parking on the roof terrace, free access to the fitness centre, a few minutes walk from the centre. It is rounded off by extremely friendly and competent staff. Bright, large quiet rooms, even on the side of the Lucca - Firenze railway line as it only runs during the day. Very clean room. Gastronomy : 9 out of 10 points, an excellent rating for a hotel. Last but not least, the prices are right.

quality, services, cleanliness, everything you would expect from a hotel. located between Florence and Pisa, in a spa town. close access to the motorway made it a good base for exploration of Tuscany. a good address for us a couple with 3 kids

I stayed here for 5 nights from 8th May 2022 travelling with a group of about 20 adults to Tuscany. On arrival, by coach, I was very disappointed with the appearance of the hotel but once inside, the reception area was light and bright and the reception staff were very efficient in getting us all checked in and key cards handed out. The rooms were basic but very clean and well maintained. No tea or coffee making facilities but there is a small fridge stocked with a small selection of cold drinks. Unfortunately the air conditioning was not working in the rooms which meant the room was hot for sleeping (day time temp was between 25 and 29 C). The room over looked the main railway line so there was quite a lot of noise early morning until quite late at night. I’d say the rooms aren’t very well sound proofed as I was kept awake a couple of night by someone else’s TV. There was an abundance of dandelion type seed heads in the air in and around the hotel which wouldn’t be great for anyone with pollen allergies (just a heads up, not the fault of the hotel). The staff were extremely polite and very helpful, especially the waiting staff in the restaurant. Breakfast was very good with a great selection, something for everyone. Drinks are from machines and you help yourself. The location of the hotel meant it was just a 10 minute walk to the main plaza of Montecatini or central train station and was a good base for trips to Chianti, Florence, Lucca and Pisa. Montecatini Alto is definitely worth the 7 euros for the return journey on the funicular. Top tip would be to make a reservation at one of the restaurants if you’re visiting in the evening for dinner (and take a jumper). Overall a very pleasant stay.

Stayed at the Tuscany Inn at Montecatini Terme from the 8th May to the 13 May Travelled as a group. The Hotel was on first appearance's not what we expected as the coach parked at the rear of the hotel to be quite honest, but as the saying goes "Don't judge a book by its cover" is very apt. The Rooms were basic but very clean and were kept that way throughout our stay. The beds were very comfy. The air conditioning was not operating in our room and also members of the group that we spoke to also experienced that this was the case with their rooms as well, which made sleeping difficult. A good point of the room was that there was a safe which was not charged for, that was handy to keep passports and flight return documents safe, so as not to worry about carrying them around on our trips out. Breakfast at the hotel was good with a selection for most tastes, also we ate a couple of times in the evenings and found the set price e25 per head very reasonable. The staff at Tuscany Inn were very helpful and pleasant and I would like especially a very big thank you to Sarah in the Restaurant for her help patience and helpful information that she gave to us with our enquires. The Hotel is Close to the rail station for travelling to other places to visit and the fares are very reasonable we found at around e5/e12 return. Also while in Montecontini its worth taking a tour of the Spa area. We were fortunate to have had a good local guide for our group and the tour was around 3 hours long. While in Montecantini it is worth getting the Funicular Railway to the Montecantini Alto. There are some small restaurant's up there and also we were told the best home made Gelato made and sold in the very small shop in the square. My wife and I travelled to Italy with a group and visited the Chianti wine region, Pisa, Luca and Florence. It was a very pleasant experience made more so by the good company of the group whom we in the main had not met before going onto the tour and also the pleasantness of the Italian people that we met on our visit. Thank you all. For myself I loved Luca and would have wished had been our base to stay, (nothing against Montecantini) just that Luca had more appeal. If visiting Pisa I would really recommend, Ristorante - Pizzeria LASTRI. That is situated in the street opposite the statue by the leaning tower of Pisa. The best Lasagne that the 4 of us had tasted and great desserts' as well. I hope that if you choose to go to Italy you enjoy your stay as much as we all did.

A good no-nonsense hotel close to the city centre. If you are looking for something like the Premier Inn, then this fits the bill
