The location was convenient to go to both downtown Monterey and carmel. But our room remained dim even after turning on every light and lamp in both the room and the bathroom. The bathroom was also very old with the padding around the shower head exposed and the walls breaking down from all the moisture. The soap box in the room was also broken. Luckily there was a piece of soap by the sink. Overall the inn would be a place to stay if you were only in Monterey for a night, but if you are planning to stay longer, another place would be more comfortable.

I always stay at the Inn, when visiting the Monterey area. Great location, clean and comfortable beds. Service is also excellent. Staff always goes the extra mile when you need something. Very accommodating.

We liked our room. However, there was deferred maintenance outside. Our screen in the bathroom was torn off. There were spider webs around property like it was not being maintained.

No water bottles available for purchase; metal frame for bed made it difficult to move feet without hitting the frame; fire alarm went off at 2:18 am.

It was quiet, and I used Lyft to get around for my niece’s wedding. The front desk was helpful and friendly.

2 outlets in our room didn’t work. The TV required cables to be unplugged and plugged in order to watch any channels and it still did not work. The hairdryer in the bathroom did not work. The evening front desk agent was incredibly kind in checking us in, and even went out of her way to make a courtesy call to see if we were the owners of the car that had their drivers door open for over an hour (it was not our car). It was pretty disappointing to pay over $400 for one night for pretty basic amenities to not even work. But the staff was incredibly nice

The Inn was mice and we enjoyed our stay. It had been redone but the quality of work was hasty and not the best. However, the staff was amazing, so helpful and friendly.
