Another 5 star experience with Roberto, Paulo and their entire family. The location, the views, perfectly Tusacan villas and amazing meals made for a perfect family vacation. Relaxing with wine or cappuccino after a day in San Gimignano, Siena or wine tour was just perfect. Can't wait for our next visit

Antico Bogo Poggiarello was the most lovely, peaceful retreat after the crowds of Florence. It is conveniently located so that San Gimignano, Siena, and the wineries of Chianti are short drives. The family that owns it are so friendly and welcoming. Having the restaurant on the property is very convenient, and despite the fact that we were the only people staying there, they laid out a feast for breakfast every morning. Our apartment was quite spacious, much more than we needed. If you're looking for a charming, quiet place to stay in Tuscany, I highly recommend checking it out.

Avoid the 2 bedroom apartment. Out of date and below an acceptable standard. If you book the hot bath be aware the water is highly chlorinated.

Antico Borgo Poggiarello is a beautiful escape. The views of the Tuscany valley are absolutely amazing. The estate is very well maintained. The ownership and staff are very attentive. The chef's cuisine is delicious! My wife and I only stayed a few nights but will be back for more and an extended stay at some point.

We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here. Our kids had fun on their playground and my wife and I enjoyed the views, the hospitality. And the entire experience. The food was outstanding.

We have just spent a lovely 5 days at Antico Borgo di Poggiarello. We were made to feel so welcome by Roberto, Grazia, Eli and Greta. Our apartment the Giraffa, was very clean and well furnished and the views from here of the Tuscan countryside were beautiful! We had breakfast and dined al fresco of an evening here. Our meals were delicious, freshly cooked by Roberto. Their organic wine list is impressive. We have been coming here for eight years now and can’t wait to go back again next year! Grazie mille

Antico Borgo Poggiarello We stayed for a week in late September. The pool was open and the sun shined. The location is about 1.5 miles off the main road south of Colle di val d’Elsa towards Montrigioni. Some would call it remote, we called it wonderful. The ‘old’ village, each house converted into high end individual apartments, some with a terrace and all with spectacular views over the Elsa River valley towards San Gimignano and Casole, is truly wonderful especially at dusk where you can watch the sunset while drinking the local Sangiovese wine from vineyards which surround the estate. Despite being converted more than 20 years back the place is still fresh and sharp. The apartment fittings were well maintained and clean and everything worked…more than I can say for some place we have stayed in. Although you can cook in your apartment, and we did for a couple of nights, the on site restaurant serves high end typical Tuscan food and wine…and less expensive than many local restaurants. We asked for Cinghiale-Wild Boar…which Roberto the co-owner and chef managed to source and which Paolo also a co-owner served with chat in Italian, English and German. We can’t wait to make a return trip…can’t give a better recommendation than that !!

This place is a magic kingdom. Set high on a hill in Tuscany looking towards San Gimignano in one direction and Casole di Val d'Elsa in another. It's an old village that has been renovated in the last 20 years to provide apartments which are beautifully appointed. They also have kitchen facilities but if you're not wanting to cook there is a chef, Roberto, on site if you book for the restaurant. There is also a swimming pool. Roberto, Paolo and their lovely wives run this place with Italian charm and one is made to feel so welcome. I would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you guys for a wonderful few days
