I stayed at this property for two nights while in Montgomery for work. On the surface, things seemed good at this property. The outside of the property appeared to be maintained, the front desk staff were friendly. When I arrived in my room, there were some signs of wear and tear on the walls, doors, and furniture. I try to look past some of this. After unpacking and settling in, I discovered mold on the shower curtain liner. This is something that can easily be fixed. I made note that would let the front desk know. The next morning, I found human feces smeared on the wall next to the toilet....this is absolutely unacceptable! I understand staffing issues we are all facing. Taking shortcuts when it comes to cleaning a guests' room is non-negotiable. I reporting my room condition to the front desk and requested this be escalated to management. Alexandria, the front office manager, reached out and apologized for the room and offered to move me to a different room and refund me for that night. As of the time of this writing, the night was not deducted from my folio. The replacement room, which I requested a first floor room. The only warning I was given was this room is a hearing assisted room. When I arrived at the second room, the window has a view of A/C compressor units and a privacy fence to hide those from view (except my view from the room). It would have been nice had they disclosed this to me. Later that evening I discovered ants in the room which were even worse the next day. This property has so much potential. The management show they are lax on standards and it has caught up with them. Advice to management--you need to get a hold of these issues. As of right now this property does not deserve to carry to Marriott brand.

Five stars for the customer service here! Jecoby at the front desk was so hospitable and professional. He helped our family get rooms next to each other and he assisted with a few other requests that we had. He also greeted us by name as we came and left and he did it all with a smile! The other desk staff members were equally as nice. This was unexpected, amazing customer service! The rooms all had microwaves and mini fridges, which was nice. The suites had a sitting area that separated the sleeping area from the bathroom. The rooms were clean when we checked in but the day to day housekeeping left a little to be desired. When we ran into the housekeeping staff in the hallways on multiple days, they couldn't figure out who had our room. But, the staff that we saw were very accommodating. We brought our trash cans out and they changed the bags. They also switched our towels for us. It didn't appear that they make the beds on a daily basis however. They offered a complimentary breakfast, which was well stocked, even near the end of the breakfast hour. The variety of food was good and the hot dishes rotated daily. While we were there, the food included breakfast sandwiches, breakfast meats, eggs, leige waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, and fruit. They had a mini waffle maker, which was a hit with our kids. Juices, milk, coffee, tea, and water were available. We utilized the gym facilities on several days and while small, it got the job done. They had two treadmills, and an elliptical, although it was not working while we were there. The equipment was a little dated, but it was able to be used. They also had free weights. This was really an excellent stay in the Eastchase area in Montgomery. Close to numerous restaurants and shops, it was the perfect location and hotel for our family. The most striking thing about our stay was how great the employees were. Despite seemingly working long hours, they were wonderful. I haven't seen this kind of customer service in a very long time at a hotel of this caliber, or even more upscale hotels. I would highly recommend this place.

The hotel has a central location in downtown. Close to the river and many restaurants. I arrived to an attentive valet who walked me to the desk that allowed for an expedient check in from a clerk that was very personable but not too chatty. The dolls behind the desk are a bit creepy, but that is the only bad thing I would say about the hotel. The room is well appointed and I was fortunate to get a view of the river. The breakfast was satisfying the next morning as well. Every person I encountered was friendly and accommodating.

In some ways, my stay at the Courtyard was fine. Staff was friendly and welcoming. However, the property was not well kept up. When I first checked in, I was given a room right next to the elevator, which I requested to be away from. The ice machine had water constantly running (it was clearly malfunctioning). In my room, when I tried to close the curtains, they would not close. I wrestled around with them for awhile, but I could not get them to fully close. They always stayed open about a 1-2’ gap. The woman at the front desk kindly moved me to a new room, yet the new room smelled of stale smoke. The faucet dripped all night, and in the morning there was no hot water. The hotel did not have complimentary coffee in the lobby, which would have been nice. The key card door locks were all persnickety — and it took a while to open doors. My stay was ok (not terrible) but I don’t think I’d stay here again.

I stayed at this property for two nights while in Montgomery for work. On the surface, things seemed good at this property. The outside of the property appeared to be maintained, the front desk staff were friendly. When I arrived in my room, there were some signs of wear and tear on the walls, doors, and furniture. I try to look past some of this. After unpacking and settling in, I discovered mold on the shower curtain liner. This is something that can easily be fixed. I made note that would let the front desk know. The next morning, I found human feces smeared on the wall next to the toilet....this is absolutely unacceptable! I understand staffing issues we are all facing. Taking shortcuts when it comes to cleaning a guests' room is non-negotiable. I reporting my room condition to the front desk and requested this be escalated to management. Alexandria, the front office manager, reached out and apologized for the room and offered to move me to a different room and refund me for that night. As of the time of this writing, the night was not deducted from my folio. The replacement room, which I requested a first floor room. The only warning I was given was this room is a hearing assisted room. When I arrived at the second room, the window has a view of A/C compressor units and a privacy fence to hide those from view (except my view from the room). It would have been nice had they disclosed this to me. Later that evening I discovered ants in the room which were even worse the next day. This property has so much potential. The management show they are lax on standards and it has caught up with them. Advice to management--you need to get a hold of these issues. As of right now this property does not deserve to carry to Marriott brand.

He helped our family get rooms next to each other and he assisted with a few other requests that we had. He also greeted us by name as we came and left and he did it all with a smile! The other desk staff members were equally as nice. This was unexpected, amazing customer service! The rooms all had microwaves and mini fridges, which was nice. The suites had a sitting area that separated the sleeping area from the bathroom. The rooms were clean when we checked in but the day to day housekeeping left a little to be desired. When we ran into the housekeeping staff in the hallways on multiple days, they couldn't figure out who had our room. But, the staff that we saw were very accommodating. We brought our trash cans out and they changed the bags. They also switched our towels for us. It didn't appear that they make the beds on a daily basis however. They offered a complimentary breakfast, which was well stocked, even near the end of the breakfast hour. The variety of food was good and the hot dishes rotated daily. While we were there, the food included breakfast sandwiches, breakfast meats, eggs, leige waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, grits, and fruit. They had a mini waffle maker, which was a hit with our kids. Juices, milk, coffee, tea, and water were available. We utilized the gym facilities on several days and while small, it got the job done. They had two treadmills, and an elliptical, although it was not working while we were there. The equipment was a little dated, but it was able to be used. They also had free weights. This was really an excellent stay in the Eastchase area in Montgomery. Close to numerous restaurants and shops, it was the perfect location and hotel for our family. The most striking thing about our stay was how great the employees were. Despite seemingly working long hours, they were wonderful. I haven't seen this kind of customer service in a very long time at a hotel of this caliber, or even more upscale hotels. I would highly recommend this place.
