Friendly staff, good food, nice room, however: We received a supposed "upgrade" upon arrival with a much nicer room. The room was located right above a noisy street and it was impossible to get a good night's sleep with people partying until four o'clock in the morning. we advised the staff and they said they were "aware" and nothing more. Unacceptable.

The entire property is warm and welcoming. Beautiful lobby, elegantly lit. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Luxuriously appointed rooms, spacious, elegant bathroom with terrific lighting choices. Amazing meal at Mama C’s. Located in the heart of Old Montreal. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff was fabulous. Our room was tired and needed updating, so that was unexpected. The bathroom was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The ambiance in the hotel was great. It was just our actual bedroom that was less than 5 star.

Room was fantastic, extra large bathroom with tub, was like a spa and very nice, bedding extremely comfortable and mini expresso maker was a great touch! Front desk Freddie was wonderful and very helpful.

This was a beautiful hotel. Started with valet parking and very friendly staff. We were upgraded for free to a suite. The bed was heaven and the bathroom was a dream! The TV could have been larger but still worked fine. There was construction that woke us up promptly at 7am but by no means the fault of the hotel. Loved our stay!

I previously stayed at Hotel Nelligan for a business trip where the rooms were spacious and luxurious, with fireplaces and comfortable seating. Based on that experience, I booked a three-night getaway expecting something similar. The room photos online also showed large rooms with seating, so I felt confident in my choice. When we arrived, our room was very small and had nowhere to sit other than an office chair, which wasn’t ideal for a 3 day stay. After speaking with the front desk, the only option at first was an upgrade far outside our budget. We went back again to express our concerns and were eventually offered a larger room with a chair and ottoman, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, this room faced the interior of the building and had no daylight at all, which made the space feel dark and cave-like for the entire stay. Aside from the room issues, we loved the hotel’s location, the service, and our dinner at Mama C. We just wish the room we booked had matched the photos and the level of comfort we expected, especially given the price.
