Holiday Inn & Suites MONTREAL CENTRE-VILLE OUEST by IHG

The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop for the 747 bus from the airport. They also handled my early morning check-out smoothly. The location was great, with a supermarket and bagel shop nearby, and the train station about 15 minutes away.

The service was extremely poor; I will never come back. On the first night, I discovered there were no toiletries in the room. I called the front desk to request two toothbrushes to be delivered and left at the door. I waited for an hour, getting sleepy, but no one brought them. I called the front desk again, and they said room service was on its way, but after half an hour, they still hadn't arrived. The first thing I did when I woke up the next morning was check the door—no toothbrushes. I called the front desk a third time, explained what had happened, and requested the toothbrushes be delivered within 10 minutes, but they hung up on me before I could even finish speaking. Shouldn't I expect normal service from a budget hotel?
