The Clarendon Hotel

Morecambe|1.22km from city center
First the positive views, The Clarendon is an older impressive building overlooking the bay, inside has that old world feel to it but in places in need of a little care and attention. Our first floor room was classed as a suite and priced competitively in comparison to other local establishments No complaints regarding the room although the “dressing room “ turned out to be a mirror in the hallway and the large promenade facing windows needed net curtains to ensure privacy. Huge bed and plenty of space for a sofa and two armchairs. The furnishings were comparatively new and everything was reasonably clean. Breakfast offering was very good quality including fruit, cereal, yogurt. Juice , toast and ”freshly cooked ” ordered via a selection form on the table. The Resturant is not open in the evenings but a list of nearby places to eat was provided, or alternatively the management were happy if takeaways were delivered although you risk lingering food smells in the bedroom. One or two negative comments, free toiletries in the bathroom was a wall dispenser with a thin dubious ineffective liquid soap. The over bath shower effective but not great and the lack of handrails when entering and exiting a slippery surface is a safety problem. Towels are small and threadbare and it seems they do not routinely service or clean the room change towels at all unless you ask, not good enough if staying a few nights Nice size wall hung TV but the cables were just left hanging around when they could have been hidden and made a a better impression. The hotel has a private car park monitored by a parking company so be sure to register your car number or risk the inevitable fine. The car park has only around twenty spaces so can get full quickly, it also needed a clean up as there was substantial litter lying around Got the impression the hotel is run with too few staff In conclusion okay but not great and we would think hard before staying again

The Kerswell Hotel
4.5/525 Reviews
Lovely welcome when I arrived gave me all the information I needed. Super clean, spacious room, lovely comfy bed , tea and coffee facilities excellent shower and plenty of towels . Very hot weather when I was there fan in bedroom was very welcome as was the water in the fridge. Easy to get in at anytime due to clever fob. No breakfast supplied but I knew that plenty of places to eat around though. Lovely position for walking on the prom or sitting and looking at the sea. Hosts were very friendly and made my stay exceptional
Travelodge Morecambe

I enjoyed 2 nights in a rear facing room away from any noise from the pedestrian precinct out front. Although the corridor carpets looked grubby and needing replaced, everything in my room was top notch. There was a minor issue with my soap dispensers, but this was quickly and cheerfully dealt with by housekeeping. The hotel is handily placed for the railway station and principal bus stops. There is a nearby Wetherspoons and a spotless chippy for a takeaway within a 5 minute walk off Poulton Road. Finding a pre-packed sandwich wasn't easy as the Boots in The Arndale doesn't sell food, but Poundland had a good tasty range at £2 each. This is one of those Travelodges built with bouncing corridor floors, which also seem to affect bedrooms - if the occupants of the room above you or through the floor are being inconsiderate, you'll be sure to hear lots of loud thuds! I'd be happy to stay here again at the right price and maybe next time ask for a top/3rd floor room.
Best Western Lancaster Morecambe Lothersdale Hotel

Stayed in the Lothersdale hotel in Morecambe for the first time for 2 nights. It was fab. Afternoon tea was amazing. The Aspect bistro was a lovely place to sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down. Rooms may be small but we had all we needed. Breakfast was nice, and the staff always friendly and attentive. We will deffo stay there again.

comfortable and clean, we had a very nice night here and the breakfast was well worth it. The room was a family room and suited us just right. well worth 1 night but there is not much to do or see in Morecombe.
Midland Hotel

Classic hotel. The 80’ 5*. Great view from room 222. Nonetheless the room is outdated. The elevator is ages old. Good for short stay. The location is superb with walking distance to Morrisons and Aldi. Great breakfast and environment.
