I recently stayed at the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge by Marston's Inns, and found it to be a clean and comfortable choice for accommodation. The rooms were well-maintained, providing a good night's rest in a peaceful setting. One of the perks I noticed was a discount offered in the restaurant for hotel residents, though it's important to mention that this is only available if you book directly through the hotel, which was a bit disappointing.
During my dining experiences at the hotel restaurant, I felt that the staff could have been more welcoming and friendly. While the service was efficient, a warmer interaction would have greatly enhanced the overall experience. Nonetheless, the food quality was satisfactory.
Overall, the Ravens Cliff Hotel Lodge offers a decent stay, especially if you're looking for a straightforward, no-frills accommodation with the convenience of an on-site restaurant. It's a suitable choice for travelers seeking basic comfort and cleanliness.

Great stay with brilliant staff who welcomed you every time you entered. The internet is fast, free parking which all make for a better stay.
The only thing I would change is to have an earlier start for breakfast times as 7am is quite late for a start time due to travelling for business.

Stayed 3 nights. No cleaning services or even bins emptied. Lots of banging doors through the night due to fire doors which can't be helped. Evening meal expensive for what you get. Breakfast is not bad value

Based here whilst touring the local and wider area. Hotel accommodation is perfectly adequate, I would say comparable with a Premier Inn, but the associated pub fell well short of expectations. Opening hours were very limited, particularly on Sunday night, having returned from a long day driving and walking, we entered the bar at 8.43 to be told that last orders had already been called and they were closing!! On other nights they also closed early, although not as early, but by 10 o’clock!
It meant that we decided to eat out before returning to the hotel in case we were unable to get an evening meal.
As this chain is Marston’s Inns, my friends and I felt it was a poor experience.

Worst experience after staying in the hotel every month since it opened. Bus tours in with a groups of kids which hung about late in the evening outside our window and then banged the inside door continually. This went on non stop till 1am and then people leave from 5.45am. Last morning those kids left at 4.30am (running in & out from 3.45am). Inside door constantly slamming really needs sorting as accessible room shook every time.
