Hillview Farmstay

My family travelled from Singapore, and I've read quite a lot of good reviews, so here we are. We booked a night in the Safari Tent and 3 in the cabin but got a free upgrade for a night to the Safari Tent, which was really nice of the management. Safari tent compared to the dome tents are much bigger if you have a bigger family it is more comfy. It also has a cubby house, games, toys and in my opinion more kids friendly. Safari tents are close to the highway so bring ear plugs. If it rains it also gets loud with things flapping all over outside. Internet reception is not available in all rooms but good connection at the safari tents. These are the lodging with best views. Beautiful sunset too. All rooms are very clean and inviting. The single room cabin is farther inside the property just beside the dome tents so it makes these options a lot quieter and peaceful at night. No highway noise at all. Though for dome tents you still get the loudness if it rains! All lodging has BBQ. You get free flow of cereals, eggs, bacon, milk and coffee/tea. Wifi in cabin room next to the pool is weak but you get it on the patio and lounge. View is so so. The toilet is freezing cold and AC is in the lounge and not bedroom. I love that we can park right beside our lodging. We paid for the buggy ride which was fun and worth it.

Fantastic experience. My kids had lots of fun visiting the animals and taking part in the morning feeding. Donna was so informative telling us all about the different animals. I was really impressed by how she took the time to personally take us around to the different stalls. Such a perfect stop as we were passing through. The units and facilities were also really nice. Highly recommended, especially for families!

Fun stay very relaxed. Rooms were clean place as well looked after and it included all necessary, amenities. Good quiet place to relax and recharge! Owners stay out of your way, nice and private good amenities for the kids too! Highlight was feeding the animals each morning :)

We enjoyed our very comfortable accomodation after our drive and freindly welcoming staff. A choice of cerials and the refrigerator was stocked with bacon and egg for breakfast. We enjoyed a game of tennis, shooting a few hoops with the basketball and meeting the animals. Will definitely return.

The place is amazing. We had a lot of fun interacting with the animals. The cabins were very clean and well looked after. The owners and staff are such angels and very accommodating. Very attentive to details. My partner and I had a great and we’re definitely visiting again soon.

Handy location right on the Hume Highway. Stayed in one of the dome tents, with pets. Tent was amazing, great bathroom which was a surprise.Dinner on the small Weber and a couple of drinks sitting outside on the deck, taking in the surrounds.

A great way for the family to rest from a long road trip. We enjoyed the chance to tour the farm and feed the animals while resting from the long drive. Accommodation very comfortable and the shared facilities are great.

My family and I are road tripping from Brisbane to Melbourne and back, making multiple overnight stop overs along the way. Hillview Farmstay has been by far my favourite accommodation. There was an issue with our selected room which the owner advised us of before we came and upgraded our room for free. We loved the Lion Den safari tent we stayed in. The kids loved the cubby beds and it was huge. We fed the farm animals and went on a 4wd tour of the property with the caretaker who was also so lovely and accommodating. Our room was across from the goat paddock and the goats were so entertaining. The beds were super comfy, the room and everything in it was clean, it had everything we needed. The pool was great and the views were amazing. O would definitely come back and also recommend to everyone.

Hillview Farmstay is a great little place. Everyone there is super friendly and welcomed us like family. Our 2 yr old loved the daily animal feeding as well as the goat yard right our our front door. Our dogs also were very intrigued by all the weird animals they had never seen, seemed like they loved it. If we are travelling back that way again we will definitely be staying at Hillview Farmstay again
