Reviews of Observatory Cottages

The place was way overpriced for what it was and just awful. We stayed in Owls Croft cottage, my partner and I were really unhappy. Staff weren’t even there for check in, poor communication from staff, the room was musty, had cobwebs, no internet connection or reception, hardly any towels, no robes, hardly any condiments, no complementary items, BYO everything for $400 for the night, no lighting on the path to the cottage, hardly any signage to find the cottage, honestly the list goes on! They also lied about the supposed mountain view from the cottage. Not to mention, there was a creepy hand written message saying “Be careful, they come at midnight” which maybe was left as a joke but added to the already creepy ******* vibe the place had. It was so bad that my partner and I didn’t even stay the whole night, we checked ourselves out and the relief we felt driving away returning to our home was like nothing else. I highly recommend you DON’T stay there unless you want to waste your money and time.
