Inn at Mount Shasta

Inn at Mount Shasta is an excellent choice for stopover during my road trip from Portland to SF. When we were here, there was a winter storm and everything was white out. The recept was super friendly and helped shovel our car out of the snow. We stayed in the family suite room 201, which consisted of 1 toilet, 2 queen beds, and 1 king bed in another room. The hot water supply for showering was constant, and heaters worked great. The room was warm and toasty. There’s also a coffee machine in room, we borrowed a hot water kettle. The room also had satellite TV, and if you like to have a meal, the original black bear diner is 5 mins drive away. If you need groceries, there’s Ray’s Grocery store or the Mount Shasta Grocery store nearby too. Will definitely come back if I ever have the chance!

We had a late check in and the receptionist was kind and helpful :) my little girl really wanted to swim despite me being exhausted and it being 10:30pm! But the kind lady got us a room close to the pool making life easier for this exhausted mom trying to make the traveling fun for a 4 year old daughter. After long time on the road it is so nice to be greeted with kindness and compassion

We only stayed for a night as we passed through, but the rooms were somewhat tired; we had a ground floor one and it was a bit ”dank” when we went it, like there wasn't enough ventilation. Neither of us slept very well that night as the bed was not that comfortable and ambient noise from other guests upstairs was disruptive. For the price, it was a bit disappointing (market forces I suppose, but still). The silver lining is the restaurant, which was actually really good. Staff were friendly and service was excellent, food was very tasty. My only hope is that in future it would be possible to get more ventilation into the space while the pandemic drags on.
