We finished our Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Glacier to Waterton trip with a stay with Josh. It was a highlight💖 The accommodation was most relaxing and quaint! A very quiet setting, where we experienced the amazing south Alberta winds…and were assured that this was not full force and the generator would kick in if needed😉 The stay included full use of the well stocked kitchen, games room and common tv/ living room. We were really made to feel at home. The outdoor fire pit was a great place to connect with other guest. Josh was very helpful in suggesting activities for our time in the park. We thourally enjoyed the delicious breakfast and conversation each morning. Definitely would recommend a stay here!

Thanks Josh for a wonderful stay! Months after my wife booked this place we got an email that a big family reunion was coming in the same time we were there, so we'd be moved from a standard room in the main lodge to a 3-bedroom cabin a few yards away. Since there were four of us, that turned out to be a blessing. The cabin was perfect with a nice kitchen, and space to stretch out. Since we had to be moved out of the main building (which included breakfast) they stocked our fridge with eggs, milk, cereal, bread, butter, juice, jam, coffee, creamer and more. It was so nice! This lodge is about 25 minutes outside of Waterton in the country, and I mean in the country. Mountain View is quiet, spread out and seems very rural. I'm glad my wife found it as it was great to be away from crowds for a few days.

Heavenly! Carol and Mark from Brisbane, Australia whole heartedly agree with the pages in the visitor book of superlative descriptions of Rocky Ridge Lodge, Josh, Kim and Jan. Cosy, warm and special really appeals. It is truely a home away from home when you have been travelling. If only Josh would do dinners as well as his exquisite breakfasts! Fortunately, we have been here long enough to cover most and go back for seconds tomorrow. Enchiladas …….. stuffed French Toast ……… pancakes ………sublime! Josh, Kim & Jan are so friendly, genuine and welcoming and Josh’s family adventure stories almost equal ours. The decor and cleanliness back up the wonderful hospitality to make your stay genuine. And they grow amazing flowers in their hot houses. Waterton Glacier International Peace Park and your weather wasn’t bad either. We loved your bears, dear and chipmunks, and nothing ate us. Well worth staying the 20km outside of the Waterton National Park. Cheers and huge thanks from us Aussies, Mark and Carol

It was cold with snow predicted so we abandoned plans to tent camp in Waterton town site and called The Rocky Ridge. Josh, the owner manager, found us a room for 3 nights. Breakfast was included because we booked direct. Our room was spacious and comfortable with views of the rolling prairie lands and gorgeous flowers everywhere in Josh's garden and surroundings. We chose breakfast each night from a menu that had 6 yummy choices. My favourite was blueberry pancakes and scrambled eggs. Generous portions! We had the house to ourselves most of the time and had the kitchen available to make our bag lunches and cook our own dinners. We made use of the pool table. There's a hot tub too, but we are not hot tub people so gave it a pass. The grounds are beautiful, and there's an outdoor fire circle for guests as well. It's a short drive to Waterton for hiking, which we did every day we were there. Josh is a friendly, helpful, welcoming host. This is great value for your money!!

We were looking for a place to stay close to Waterton, and found the Rocky Ridge Country Lodge. We only planned to stay a night, but stayed another as we enjoyed it so much. The lodge has got a very homely feel to it, with plenty entertainment areas to hang out with other visitors or by yourself. Hot tub, barbecue, TV room, pool table, it's all there! The room was very clean and spacious, with a cabin style interior. Now the included breakfast. Oh my God, they were the best breakfasts we have had in a long time! About 6 different options, to cater for different tastes and moods 😁 All cooked in front of you by Josh, who is an amazing chef. Josh has a vast knowledge of the area, and is very helpful. We can't wait to go back there sometime, it has definitely been our favourite stay of this trip!

My Wife and I were looking for a place to stay that was near to the Waterton National Park in southern Alberta and we came across the Rocky Ridge Country Lodge. After looking at the reviews on Trip Advisor, we decided to book a 2 night stay with our dates being 11 and 12 September 2022. In short, this place is absolutely amazing from the grounds, to the rooms and a huge shout out goes to the staff. The lodge is family owned with Josh and Kim (Husband and Wife) along with Josh's Mother Jan who all worked tirelessly to make our stay memorable. The rooms are perfectly clean and there is enough common areas that people can be to themselves if they wish, or congregate with the other guests if they so desire. Your stay will also include a breakfast fit for a king, prepared by Josh as you stand and chat with him. The portions are huge and of superb quality. He is a master cook and a wealth of knowledge as he knows just about everything there is to know about the area, hikes, attractions, dining options etc. My Wife and I can't wait to go back as we can't say enough about this experience. We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before and we had some slight misgivings about the "Bed and Breakfast" concept, but we are now 100% sold on this kind of getaway. The location is perfect as well; the Lodge is situated in Mountain View, Alberta which is a 20 minute drive from the Waterton Park gates. When you compare the prices of accommodation in Waterton Park to what we paid at this Lodge, there is no comparison as the value here is far superior to staying in the Park. Give it a try as we are certain that we will be returning in the very near future. Heartfelt shout out to Josh, Kim, Jan and the rest of the Rocky Ridge "gang".

I recently stayed here on a M-F hiking trip with my dad. The room was perfect as it had a basic and cozy room with a private bath, and a loft area for sleeping as well, so it gave both my father and I separate places to sleep, giving us both privacy. The grounds were incredibly well kept, and nice to sit outdoors for a while in the evening after a long day on the trails. As everyone else has stated, the breakfasts were pretty awesome! They were big too, so we had lots of nourishment in the morning before hiking. We never even bought sandwiches anyway to take with us, just had a few hiking bars for lunch and it was enough. I can't decide which breakfast choice was my favorite! There was an area where there was a coffee bar and a refrigerator that could be used at any time. We refilled our water bottles each night and used the downstairs freezer each night so they would last. It was honestly a place that was a cozy as home. It was convenient to Waterton Lakes Park, about 10 minutes away, and very peaceful. In the midst of the park it is very busy and congested, so getting away from that was really nice. Josh was a great host, we never met his wife, but Jan was also there when we arrived and they both made us feel very welcome! Highly reccommend!

We stayed here for three nights and enjoyed it immensely. Although it is about 30 kms from Waterton the drive there and back was never an issue as one had beautiful scenery to enjoy along the way. Breakfasts were exceptional. The commercial kitchen was available to us to fix dinner and make lunches…very well equipped. Our room had two queen beds and an ensuite bathroom. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
