Charlemont House

Plaster coming off walls, carpet needed replacing, bathroom door wouldn't close properly. Didn't mind the old furniture but the rooms could of been nicer. I won't be staying again.

Needs some TLC Beautiful house but our room sadly needed refurbished..

We stayed here for our wedding and everything was perfect. Beautiful house with most unreal decor and service was outstanding. We stayed as a family and booked the entire home, everyone loved their stay. Excellent communication from start to finish from host. Highly recommend!

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Rang us in advance to help with an early check in for a wedding. Very handy if at at wedding in the old rectory. Also catered for gluten free at breakfast which was lovely. Would definitely go back in future

I contacted the owner in February to hire the entire property for a Hen Party. She was so lovely and accommodating on the phone and talked me through how the booking worked. Also helped organise food which was great because I was not from the area so didn’t know where to go! Coming up to the Hen, it was very easy to communicate with her via text and when I arrived on the day to start setting up decorations she walked me through the entire house to make sure everything was ok and showed me where everything was. We had a group of girls staying and the house was absolutely perfect! We had our activities in the main room which had plenty of room for all, we ate in the dining room which was brilliant and had the whole use of the kitchen for drinks, ice, heating up food etc. The courtyard was lovely to sit out in. The hot tub was such a great addition to the night also!! It is enclosed so you don’t need to worry about if it’s raining, you can still enjoy an evening relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and toilet facilities were clean. The house was full of beautiful antiques and paintings. The house was also a 10 second walk to Tomneys pub which was brilliant! So easy to get back home after our night out! I would recommend booking this property 100 times over to anybody for any occasion. It just made our party! If you’re thinking about booking, you won’t regret it

Beautiful place to stay. I would fully recommend it .very comfortable and relaxing experience and was made all the better by the warm welcome by host Julianne , we enjoyed just chilling out in the court yard and taking life easy . Decor was fab

Suitable for an overnight stay. Comfortable rooms. Parking was available but not during busy periods. Breakfast was sufficient.

Really great location and a unique house. Julie Anne was a great hostess and looked after us and ensured we had a lovely stay. Having access to the period living room and gardens was a real bonus, especially because we had children with us so they could play quite safely in the garden.
