Fantastic position; essentially a private beach, pool with plenty of sunloungers, sunset views from the cocktail bar; couldn’t ask for a better setting. Some mosquito presence in the dining room and lifts. Really friendly and helpful staff. A great overnight stay 😎.

As on previous visits this hotel suits our requirements. The staff are cheerful and helpful. The hotel is in a wonderful position on the Mar Menor.

The beds were ok, cleaning ok. But the breakfast was not. Same everyday! Sausage that taste nothing, bacon ditto. Scrambled eggs, hardboiled egg. only white bread, Gouda cheese only, cooked ham, choricho, Spanish omellete with potato? Some youghurt, coffe, chocolate and tea. Booooring and tasteless!!! Pool ok, but very loud music. The lagoon was better and the sea even better than that. All and all just ok, nothing more.

This Hotel has a great position between the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean Sea unfortunately the surrounding area is either very run down or derelict. There is no denying the previous reviews and pictures of uncooked chicken and cockroaches. Our experience was not dissimilar to these reviews unfortunately, but in particular the paper thin walls where our children could hear the bedroom activities of other guests!

An honest review. Overall a really pleasant stay at this hotel. Positives - room clean and comfortable. Menor sea view was beautiful, especially at sunset. Pool was lovely - sun beds plentiful and despite other reviews there was no rush to grab them early on. Sun beds are checked between certain hours and if they have been empty for a long time belongings are removed so others can use them. We never had any issue getting a bed despite how busy the hotel was. Pool bar was well stocked and the staff were generally pleasant - David was outstanding (he was also the only one who spoke any English!). We didn’t use any of the other bars. Entertainment staff work tirelessly but were not pushy. Aqua Fit was the most fun we’ve had in ages! Negatives - receptionist (female) on arrival was rude and abrupt. Refusing to check us in (we were early) but then checking in Spanish guests who were after us - it definitely seems that British guests are not appreciated. This was redeemed only by Daniel who was lovely - super helpful and a credit to the hotel. Food was not great - although plentiful it was often cold. I am not a fussy eater but I struggled most mealtimes to find something palatable. Desserts were lovely but guests were like vultures surrounding the poor dessert chef when she was replenishing the dishes! Housekeeping was not great - we were left with half a toilet roll on arrival and had to go and find our own when we ran out. Towels taken away on day 3 and not replaced ! The Menor was clear but full of coral and jelly fish whilst we were there which put us off. The beach on the other side is beautiful- soft white sand but the waves were really strong so we couldn’t swim there either! Spanish guests were rude, obnoxious and have no manners but that is not the fault of the hotel. One older guest was seen to lick some of the desserts and then put them back on the tray when they were not to his taste - disgusting. All in all we had an enjoyable holiday and I would recommend this hotel. Reading some of the other reviews, people seem to expect 5* luxury for 3* prices then complain about minor issues.

Booked this hotel because of the Hyatt name and ownership, however this is such a poor hotel. All entertainment is in Spanish and the staff positively avoid you, delay serving you and treat you as if you shouldn’t be there once they know you’re English. The bar staff are beyond rude and the drinks are the most watered down I’ve ever experienced. The hotel is plagued by mosquitoes and there seems to no attempt inside the hotel to deal with this. The surrounding area is very run down. The food is horrific, serving raw chicken and then telling us that this is how Spaniards eat it (see pictures attached 🤢) . Stupid rules like no fruit juice at lunch or dinner only carbonated drinks , can’t leave your bed to go to the toilet without your towel being removed from sun bed, compulsory hand sanitizer or not allowed into dinning hall. The lifts are terrible you can wait a ridiculous amount of time for them which if on the tenth floor is painful. The plus sides are: The view across the Mar Menor are lovely, the beach is pleasant, there is a pizza place next door which saves you having to eat raw chicken, the English speaking male receptionist was particularly pleasant and helpful. I can’t believe Hyatt have put their name to this hotel and would certainly not recommend to anyone.

The location of the hotel is great, the rating of the hotel corresponds to 2*, cockroaches in the room, food around semi-finished products. the terrace door could not be locked, anyone could come, we were in the 1st floor. during lunch the children could not have juice, only carbonated drinks. the beds in the room move apart, it was not a "double bed".

kitchen staff kept removing plates when unfinished, left my table on one occasion to top up my coffee, I was gone no more than a minute, I returned to find the toast that I had just had to queue up for had gone, the table cleared and the cigarettes I'd left to indicate I hadn't left were in the hand of the cleaner who was walking away. I was stuck in an lift with 6 others and no air-con for twenty minutes. The fairly poor room air-con was continually leaking onto the room floor, I could hear everything from the room next door. House maids were exceptional and very pleasant. Overall, hotel a bit tired.
