We grabbed a few days here before the new UK quarantine regulations for Italy. We played golf every day (one day at Circolo doe Golf Ugolino in Florence). The course was wet underfoot but beautiful and still a joy to play. Small world - the golf professional grew up on my street and went to the same school as me! The reception at the hotel were most welcoming. A dinner a La Voliera (the hotel restaurant) was excellent. The spa wasn't open (COVID-19) and the outdoor pool closed (October) but it didn't matter for us. The room was comfortable and good value. Breakfast was also very good and the staff were charming and interested. It is an amazing setting as it was originally a medieval hamlet.

When I took the room, I said that I didn't find the order, and I took a long time to get the room. Driving is ok, parking is free and the room is too old. No quilt. Only one can be covered like a sheet. Asked the waiter to give the quilt, and gave two very shabby blankets. . . About 2 kilometers from the city, on the top of the mountain. The price is very poor

I instigated this trip to Tuscany with my mom because she’s never been, and to the Rosewood specifically because I’ve always enjoyed my stays in London. And Castiglion del Bosco didn’t disappoint, in the slightest. The staff was so unbelievably kind and thoughtful… even when we had a slight issue with our beautiful room, they were so attentive and proactively upgraded us so we were comfortable and happy. Their attention to detail leaves you feeling completely taken care of. And the resort is exactly what you come for. The guest relations, housekeeping, spa, and winery staff were so lovely, my mom was on cloud 9! Can’t wait to come back. Thank you!

We stayed in this facility for a weekend outside with friends. We had booked two apartments, one inside the main palace and the other in one of the ”secondary” palaces. Between the apartments were clean and well maintained. The historical palace of the 500 was incredibly spacious and bright, and the terrace and the numerous windows also gave the opportunity to look at the fantastic landscape typically of Tuscan. The staff were immediately prepared and welcome despite being a young and numerous group. At the arrival, we had a formula for the aperitive that, in front of a fixed quota, gave the opportunity to drink all the sprits you wanted with stuzzichine attachments (patates, peanuts, etc.). Super satisfying also breakfast with a classic sweet and salt buffet. The best quality products that have ”driven” us to eat at the swamp. I complimente the staff, I will not miss the opportunity to advise friends and relatives for their stays

Mercure Petriolo Siena Spa Resort Hotel, located in a panoramic location surrounded by the gentle hills of Tuscany and Maremma, is nestled in a pristine nature reserve in the Farma Valley. We stayed at the Castello di Relais in early September. To start off, the Hotel itself is a very interesting old building (like a castle) and the view you have atop the hill is fantastic. Getting to the Hotel requires you to drive up a dirt/gravel road, which is doable though. We booked a deluxe room (it was called Drago) and the room was decent, however, be aware that due to the old building there isn‘t a lot of natural light coming into the room. The bathroom was equipped with a hairdryer and also a cosmetic mirror. But all the things seemed old and could use a reinvestment. Also the shower was quite small and had some whitewhash on it. The staff at check in was friendly but seemed a little bit confused with our booking, but this could also have been due to the language barrier. The English of the staff is okay but they do prefer to speak Italian. We booked a romantic holiday package which included a dinner, a massage and one hour exclusive access to the spa. The massage was good and enjoyable. However, the Spa hour was an overstatement. Even though there is a Sauna and a steam room as well as an „emotional rainbow shower“ it wasn‘t such a great experience. The steam room was out of service and the sauna quite small (we weren’t able to both lay down so one person had to sit and the other one could lay down). The shower was also a bit of a let down as we couldn‘t adjust either the lighting or the temperature of the water. Furthermore most of the shower had quite a lot of whitewash. Furthermore there is also a room to relax, however this is also a bit small and features just two „outdoor“ lounge chairs and some tea and water. While the Spa wasn’t such a great experience, the dinner was outstanding. The food was exceptional and the staff friendly. Breakfast was also fine and even though the selection isn‘t too big it features a lot of Italian pastries and good coffee. All in all, the hotel is good but we felt it did not always live up to the luxury impression it provides online. The only things that made it really stand out were the view (which can also be had on the surrounding hills also accessible with a car) and the food (dinner is also available for non-hotel guests if you reserve in the restaurant).

A very atmospheric hotel with a cool courtyard, very atmospheric stairs, and unexpected paintings on the walls) From our room you can see the fantastic Tuscan scenery and the wonderful sunset (No. 132). The room itself is very clean and the bathroom is also very clean. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well! The cool ”icon” above the bed, painted on the tiles Breakfast is great (various cuts, fruits, rolls, toast, jam, etc.) + custom-made coffee. This is not in-room coffee and croissant breakfast. The staff responded quickly and answered all questions without any problems. Summary: I would love to return to this hotel
