Oumeitei Tsuji Ryokan
4.2/55 Reviews
I stayed at Togakushi because I wanted to eat soba kaiseki. This inn is located near the middle shrine of Togakushi Shrine. The tea sweets in the room included Usui Seika's Rakugan. This Gokoku Daifuku made by Usui Seika is very delicious and is located about 5 minutes walk from the inn. The public bath is small, but the rooms are clean. Kaiseki cuisine uses soba noodles, seasonal ingredients, and local ingredients. It's a healthy meal, but it's filling, so make sure to leave some room in your stomach for the zaru soba that comes at the end of the meal.

This is a residential house with a history of nearly eight decades. The house is very well maintained. The family enjoys a building alone. There are two bedrooms on the second floor. There are warm tables in both reception rooms, which is too comfortable. There is also a leisure massage room on the second floor, which is too comfortable. There are men's and women's toilets on the second and first floors, which is too intimate. I had a rich dinner and breakfast in the restaurant on the first floor. The hostess was too hospitable. Our family of three liked her very much. The next day, the hostess also took us to the entrance of the Toyen Shrine and agreed to take us to the bus stop back to Nagano. It is really a very, very warm and friendly proprietress. Our family regrets that we can't stay for a few more days and feel it! We will come back in the summer!

The shukubo kyoi is an inn located in togakushi, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture. It was originally built in 1815 at the temple's shukubo and is designated as a registered tangible cultural property of Japan. This day I visited Togakushi Jinja shrine on October 20, 2020. From there, I came to the shukubo. It is red leaves. It is heavy entrance. There is a visiting place when entering. This time, I was able to stay cheaply because I used the GOTO campaign. Check in and go to the room. This time it is a Japanese room. The old beam is bare. I was going to ask for a room with a toilet, but I was mistaken for a room without a toilet (sweat;) I decided to go to dinner, but I was afraid to hit my head on the stairs. The dinner hall is a visitor. The menu of this day. Fish Wheel baking. Yuba pot. Sakura. And Togakusoba. Togakusoba is one of the three major Japanese soba. It was properly served with ”bochiri”. Dessert is fruit. The next morning, I participate in Shinto rituals. This room is western style with lighting and it is interesting to be eclectic in the Japanese and Western style. Shinto ritual was photography OK. This is rare because it is impossible to shoot. Shinto rituals are over and go to the restaurant in the breakfast hall. The menu is like this. After the meal, I looked for a souvenir corner. Check out and went ahead. It is a heavy building. Only that is, the facilities are old. It was a fatal mistake that there was no toilet in the room. I should have checked better. The meal was very delicious and the volume was just good. The morning work is also pleasant. I was lucky to stay at a cheap price on goto travel.
