Located right next to the JR station and AMU plaza, it is the most convenient location in town. The hotel just opened its door in January 2024. The check in lobby is located on 7th floor, where the ground floor has a hotel reception counter. Since the lobby is located the 7th floor, the view of the city is spectacular and the natural lights is abundant. We are checked into near the top floor with a room facing south. Staff generally speak good English. The room is spacious, given the proximity to the JR station. There are quite much storage space in the room. Hotel amenities in the bathroom is quite abundant and of good quality. Kudo must be given to Mr Minamoto san, the room manager. I was feeling unwell during my stay, he has been very helpful in arranging doctor appointment, and even help us bring our luggage to Nagasaki bus station which is about ten minutes walk from the hotel. Even comparing with other very good Japanese staff, Mr Minamoto is outstanding in service and knowledge, and definitely an asset to the hotel.

Had an excellent stay here for 3 nights. Location is excellent being just across the road from the JR station. I was welcomed from arrival to departure. The room was large and comfortable ad quiet. The breakfast selection was excellent with great staff ( excellent additional benefits for being a HH Diamond member which was greatly appreciated) The executive lounge was excellent with great breakfast offerings, great afternoon snacks and a great evening snack selection ( probably the best selection in a Hilton I have had for years). The fitness centre is great ( did not try the hot baths) and loved the congestion indicator on the tv. The Seven Seas lounge was fantastic for a evening drink before bed with excellent service Nagasaki is a beautiful city to visit and hope to visit and stay at the hilton again soon

This time I stayed in a room with 3 beds with 3 family members. The size of the room, the lighting (brightness) and the cleanliness were great. Especially, I am very satisfied with the size of the room (of course, it is not as large as overseas, but in Japan there are 3 beds, and I am impressed with that size). The location of the hotel was also convenient between Nagasaki Station and the center of Nagasaki. The front desk customer service was very good except for one person. I want one of them to follow other staff and do their best to provide better service in the future. The hotel is a bit old, but it was well maintained and I was able to spend a very comfortable time with my family.

All of the facilities are old, and although at first glance they appear to be kept clean, there are signs that cleaning has been cut corners in some places. Needless to say, the bathrooms are small, which is common among business hotels. The entrance is a staircase, which I feel it is difficult to use for people with physical disabilities such as wheelchairs or people with large luggage (although there may be an elevator from the underground parking lot). You would think that this would be the quality of service at a cheap hotel outside of Japan, but the quality is not as good as it is in Japan. It is not suitable as a base for sightseeing in Nagasaki, and would be better used as a place to check in late at night and leave early in the morning.

It was an incredible inn that I was staying with a budget control. The customer service was always polite and smiling and gave me some fine care. The room was fashionable and clean, and there was no dirt that was concerned. Smart singles are wider than considering the number of tatami mats because there is no bathtub, and I didn't feel particularly narrow for the amount of luggage arrangement, notes, smartphone use, sleep, etc. The shower room was also thankful that the gap was blocked so that the water did not go to the toilet side. Unlike the minimal, it is a full western style floor. Although the space for the washbasin is not large, there is another place in the washbasin, so it is recommended to divide the washbasin into two or more large porch. The bath in the bath also extended and soaked, and the fatigue of the sightseeing in Nagasaki City, which tended to be beautiful and easy to walk, healed more than I imagined. The bath and the room were secure, and even the woman was safe. The hotel is conveniently located. When we arrived at the lobby, the staff was quick to give us a print out on how to drive to the car park. We booked a standard room and the room was very spacious and comfortable. I dropped a earring in the room and the housekeeping staff was nice to place it on the table for me. Thank you! I like that the hotel pay attention to details such as providing print out in English on how to operate the air-conditioning/heater and also the TV remote.

The hotel is very close to the JR station. We first went to the comprehensive sightseeing information center at the station to buy a one-day tram pass, which allows unlimited tram rides for one day. Then exit the station from the direction of the comprehensive tourist information center, walk through AMU PLAZA, and cross the overpass to the hotel. Under the overpass is the tram stop and the road (part of it is currently under construction). There is an elevator going up and down the overpass, and you get to the hotel entrance right after you get off the elevator, which is very convenient. You can only check in at 3pm. We stored our luggage at the hotel and went out to play. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is good.

We stayed for 3 nights at this new and beautiful hotel. While it was a bit DIY-ish to take whatever the amenities you wanted at the reception area, I found this practical. When we wanted more towels, a receptionist was happy to hand us one as well. I enjoyed the top floor outdoor bath as well as breakfast daily. From TA review, I learnt that the bath could be quite busy. Maybe because we stayed at this Candeo Hotel on weekdays, I never had to feel crumped in the locker area. Breakfast had a variety of local Japanese and western spreads, and it was delicious. The location of the hotel was superb. The major tram stop was within a few minutes on foot. We could walk to Dejima, Megane Bridge, even to the Dutch Slope. There were a plenty of restaurants nearby. The only reason that I could not give 5 stars was that the staff appeared to be distanced. I used to frequently stay in hotels around the world, and I consider receptionists to be the gatekeepers of hotels. With a bit of training, they can smile a little more and perhaps be friendlier. I stayed in 3 more hotels during my recent trip to Japan, and unfortunately, this Candeo Hotel’s receptionists spoke the poorest English, and all of the staff I encountered, including those at breakfast and other areas, looked unhappy.
