I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel.
The room was poorly maintained yellowing fixtures and a rusty, dirty shower head were already concerning, but things quickly got worse.
At around 10ishpm, I tried to shower and found the water running brown with a strong metallic smell. I immediately called reception. Staff came up multiple times, but after three rounds of checks, the water only changed from brown to yellow, then grey never clean.
I was told to let the water run for 30 minutes. Even after an hour, the water was still discoloured, smelled strongly of metal, and felt sticky on the skin. I was travelling with my 4-year-old child, and there was no way I could safely use that water.
I gave the hotel every chance to fix the issue and was even willing to change rooms, but was told they were fully booked. Throughout the night, I had to keep chasing for updates. Eventually, most staff avoided assisting altogether only one staff member, Rendi, continued to help.
We waited until almost midnight and the water was still running yellow. With no real solution, I had no choice but to check out late at night on a public holiday weekend and scramble to find alternative accommodation with a tired toddler.
What’s worse, when I requested a refund, the hotel claimed the issue had been fixed and that I chose to leave. That is completely unacceptable and untrue. No one leaves a hotel at midnight with luggage and a cranky child unless they absolutely have to.
If you’re okay showering in brown, yellow, or grey water, this place might work for you. Otherwise, avoid it.
