Cozy and authentic ryokan. Owners are really nice. Would stay for longer but didn't have time. Would definitely recommend for staying in Nagoya

A lovely Ryokan in a quiet residential area of Nagoya. Sweet couple running the place. Clean and comfortable room. I would stay again!

As a female solo traveler, I wanted a safe yet authentic Ryokan experience in the city center. This was it! A very nice older couple, a very very clean place. Right next door there is a traditional public indoor bath, which adds more flavor to the experience. Yes, the facilities are a bit old, but I felt clean & the things I need are all there. But yea, gotta keep it super quiet, you can hear ppl going up & downstair, etc, also I booked the room had to share the toilet. I think it's a good location because it's close to the big shrine I wanted to check out, and also a direct fast train nearby to the airport. For dinner options, recommend this cool old town style place also very nearby, Kanayama Komachi.

Five days and four nights. A great experience. Transportation mainly relies on buses. The distance is about ten minutes' walk. It is quite convenient. The hotel time limit is 23:00 at night. Because grandparents need to sleep.

I stayed overnight and made a reservation here to get some rest. Check-in was quick at 4pm, and I was able to leave my luggage in advance since I arrived at 2pm. Everything was great except for the fact that the wifi didn't work.

I was concerned about the price, so I have no complaints. This is a hotel run by a Japanese grandma and grandpa. The two elders take good care of the guests and are very kind.

It’s okay if there aren’t many people. But it’s probably inconvenient if there are too many people. 🍳You have to walk a while to find food nearby. Laundry room: There is a coin-operated laundry room opposite, which is very convenient. Hygiene: Very good. The bedding and other items are in my own style, but they are really well organized. It just feels a bit old, but it is still relatively clean. However, it may not be comfortable on rainy days. Environment: The transportation is not very convenient. It is a bit far from the subway and bus. You have to wait for a taxi.

Communicating with translation software is not smooth. It is recommended that you can at least communicate in Japanese.

Grandpa and grandma are very kind, I was traveling alone and didn’t understand the language, but my grandparents listened patiently to my explanations in English. My knowledge of a little English helped a lot. Please note that you have to go home before 0 o’clock in the evening.

The retro atmosphere reminded me of the times I stayed there as a child on a family trip, so it was nice to be reminded of the past.

Run by a very kind old couple. We will enter the room for cleaning every day (*if you mind, you may need to communicate) After checking out on the last day, grandpa drove us to the station for a ride. He even wore a tie, which was really cute. I highly recommend friends who come to Nagoya to stay here. You can get to the city by bus. Here are things first-time movers need to pay attention to: 1. Since there are only two people in the hotel, grandparents, there will be access control, and no entry or exit is allowed from 00:00 to 06:30 the next day (the morning time is not sure). 2. There is a large bathtub in the public bathroom, where multiple people can take a bath together (I am not sure if there will be people I don’t know taking a bath together)
