Worst hotel experience I’ve had, avoid at all costs. From check-in to check-out, this place was a complete disaster. Easily the worst check-in process and the most unnecessarily difficult reservation experience I’ve ever encountered. They charge for everything honestly, it feels like they’d bill you for breathing if they could. Room service actually removed towels from the room and didn’t replace them. When we called to ask for fresh towels, we were told it would cost 1,000 Kenyan shillings just to bring them. Absolute nonsense. Charging guests for basic necessities is beyond ridiculous. The food was equally disappointing. Below par is being generous. The mashed potatoes weren’t even mashed, just lumpy, poorly prepared and tasteless. On top of that, we were overcharged repeatedly, including being billed for a buffet for two people when only one person ate. The internal facilities are horrible and poorly maintained, adding to the overall feeling that guests are nothing more than walking wallets. Management clearly doesn’t care. The restaurant manager, James, was part of the problem, not the solution. This hotel offers terrible service, poor food, outrageous pricing, and zero accountability. I would not recommend this place to anyone  save your money, your time, and your sanity.

The worst restaurant experience ever...we were booked for lunch buffet..upon arrival we were told that the buffet is over and the manager promised that they were fixing something for us...after one hour later they resulted with cold spinach, ugali and a piece of beef...upon calling manager to ask what changed we were faced a very rude waiter by name Sam who told us we can come back for our lunch another day or wait for dinner...mind you all the bill was paid.

At first sight, the resort is stunning; a bit American in style, with a lobby that feels genuinely chic and upscale. The restaurant matched that impression, with good, varied food throughout our stay. The rooms, however, were a letdown. There were no mosquito nets, which felt like an odd omission given that the lift hall is completely open to the outdoors , though there were mosquito screens, at least. The shower barely produced any water in the evening, and the handheld showerhead had nowhere to hang, making it awkward to use. Luckily, our daughter had her own room, so we were able to shower there instead; the pressure wasn’t great either, but still better than in our own room. It’s an enormous resort, and getting around meant relying on golf carts, which felt a bit cumbersome since you had to wait for one each time. Fortunately, we were only staying one night, so it wasn’t a major issue in the end.

LNR was truly a beautiful and memorable experience, from the serene environment to the excellent hospitality. 💯 Everything was perfectly arranged, and I genuinely appreciate your support and professionalism throughout the booking process. The staff were extremely kind and helpful all through from the housekeeping services, the cart drivers & the Waiters & Waitresses at the restaurant. Food was always fresh with variety served all through. The juice portions were generous too. Our Fridge was malfunctioned & was replaced immediately..Big thank you to Cecilia housekeeping of Beckia Block- such a sweet soul🥰 Loved the view of the lake and the lush green grass. The pool area was wide enough with pool options for everyone! The Cart made movement within the vast hotel so convenient and the drivers were soo friendly and available! 🚙 This getaway was so seamless and enjoyable.🤗 Thank you Lake Naivasha Resort. Looking forward to booking more stays in the future with you.

I recently held a full week conference at Lake Naivasha Resort in March 2026, and the experience was seamless from start to finish. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with efficient golf cart transport making movement from the gate to the conference halls easy and convenient. Security at the conference venue was well managed, and tea breaks were served promptly throughout the week. Lunchtime hippo sightings added a memorable touch, and the complimentary cake from management on the final workshop day was a thoughtful gesture. Highly recommended for conferences and retreats.

We stayed at Gardenia, quite a walk from the main building. There's the buggy ride, that's driven by friendly fella. Room is spacious and with comfy clean bed. A decent sized shower and toilet. Brekkie, lunch and dinner buffet doesn't have much variety but it's a warm meal. There is typically some meat, chicken or lamb barbecued - African style. Best bit, it's by the lake making it convenient for the boat ride around the lake, to photograph the birdlife. There's much bird just by the resort like pied king fisher, cormorant, egret, ibis etc. And a herd of hippos loitering by the resort lakeside too.
