Hotel R9 the Yard Nakama

I think this hotel is meant mostly for those coming by car as it’s a more remote area. That said, a 15 minute tram takes you to Kurosaki and can take the JR from there. The tram stop was a 5 minute walk with a 7-11 outside the stop. The room, housed in a shipping container, was surprisingly comfortable. Each unit is standalone so you won’t get any noise from your neighbors and was well insulated; thinking back I don’t recall hearing any car noise. A bonus is the microwave small meal you get daily and free coffee when the front desk is open. Do note that the front desk is closed 10am-2pm and also after midnight.

Stayed here for just a day, but I was really impressed by the quality of the room. The hotel looks quite unassuming from the outside, but the rooms are surprisingly well-equipped and feel just like a typical business hotel. They even provide a microwave in the room, which was a nice touch. I also really appreciated the complimentary frozen meal provided by the hotel. Free parking was another big plus! Would definitely stay here again, or try out other R9 branches in the future.
