The lady boss was very enthusiastic and actively rushed to help with the luggage. It feels great to upgrade the room. The second floor of the inn has been renovated, leaving a space for relaxing and drinking tea. The pillows and towels in the rooms are very clean. We had a lovely 2-night stay at the Memory of Vinegar Inn. The hotel itself, housed in an original wooden building, is situated on a small lane in a quiet part of the ancient town (our preference) and near the river. All rooms are newly renovated but keep the old style (we love the wooden beams) with modern bathrooms. The owner couldn't be lovelier or more helpful. She was a great source for local dining options, gave us some fresh plums and peaches, and brought us some tomatoes from the garden of her great aunt. The Memory of Vinegar Inn is comfortable for couples like us as well as families & we recommend it highly.
