The room itself is clean, tidy, and comfortable. It's within walking distance of Laomendong Pedestrian Street, Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple), and the Grand Bao'en Temple. If I ever visit Nanjing again, I would definitely choose this hotel and recommend it to my friends.

The hotel is surrounded by a commercial street, which gets very lively at night. The soundproofing isn't great, so the room was a bit noisy. However, the service was quite good. It was a bit chilly, and I only had summer pajamas, so I needed the heating on. I confirmed this with the front desk during check-in, and they said it was fine. Later, when the heating was too warm, they kindly moved me to another room and adjusted the air conditioning for me. Excellent service! The booking mentioned a buffet breakfast, but when I checked in, the front desk told me breakfast would be delivered to my room the next day. We arranged for 8 AM, but they knocked on my door and delivered it at 7:40 AM, which disturbed my sleep. For a buffet breakfast, I expected more variety; what was delivered was just some pastries and no drinks, which was quite disappointing and didn't match the value for money.

Cleanliness: Clean Environment: Good Service: Good Stayed for two nights in Nanjing with my elderly mother for a weekend getaway. The location is very convenient. It's just a short walk to Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) and also very close to the West Gate entrance of the Egret Island Park Lantern Festival. Before our arrival, they called to inquire about our estimated check-in time and informed us about the limited parking availability. Breakfast had everything one could ask for. My personal favorites, freshly made noodles and coffee, were available, and there were several kinds of fruit. The freshly prepared duck blood vermicelli soup was quite tasty. We received a complimentary upgrade to a family room, and it was lovely to have the morning sun shining in. The room was cleaned promptly, and they refilled our bottled water several times. Thumbs up! 👍

This was my first stay at a Mercure hotel, part of the Accor group, so here's my review: The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Nanjing's Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple) area. It's only about 200 meters from the main entrance of Fuzimiao! We checked in smoothly during the Lantern Festival. As we walked to Fuzimiao, dusk was settling, the lanterns were lighting up, and the Qinhuai River cruises were in full swing – the vibrant atmosphere of Old Nanjing just enveloped us. We strolled along the river, stopping to enjoy the sights, all the way to Laomendong. There were so many unique local snacks, and anything with a queue was definitely worth trying! After Laomendong, we walked directly to Bailuzhou Park. The 40th Nanjing Lantern Festival was truly spectacular. By the time we headed back, it was already 9 PM. We took Metro Line 3 from Wudingmen station (right outside Bailuzhou Park) back to Fuzimiao, and it was another 200-meter walk from Exit 3 to the hotel. We enjoyed a nice, hot shower, and what I loved most on Saturday morning was the extended breakfast hours – it actually ran until 11 AM! As someone who loves to sleep in, I truly appreciated that. We arrived at the restaurant around 10 AM, and it was still very comfortable. They had baguettes, cakes, coffee, and yogurt cups, plus a live cooking station with Nanjing specialties. You absolutely must try the Pidu noodles with a braised egg; I never expected to experience authentic Old Nanjing cuisine right here at the hotel! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting. We only booked for one night this time, but we'll definitely be back. Oh, and the laundry and gym are free too!
