Golden Holiday Hotel (Nanning Chaoyang Plaza Railway Station)

It's all about the amazing view and the fantastic location! 😍 I'm so glad I picked this hotel and room type for my trip. Even though it's an older place and a bit run-down, it still has excellent bones!

Right downstairs, you'll find the central downtown area with its 'Three Streets and Two Alleys,' where dining, shopping, and sightseeing all come together. The transportation is very convenient. The rooms are spacious, and the window view overlooking the river is delightful. However, the outdated decor definitely needs a renovation.

It was okay, but 400 a night felt a bit pricey, though that's to be expected during the May Day holiday. My biggest complaint was the unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom drain.

On non-weekend or non-holiday days, they kindly upgraded us to a river view room for free, which was absolutely wonderful!

The room was very clean with beautiful views, especially the river view. The location is excellent, right next to Sanjie Liangxiang and Zhonghua Road Old Street, and very close to the riverside. The service attitude was also great.

The night view is beautiful, and it's super convenient with Sanjie Liangxiang (Three Streets and Two Alleys) right downstairs, offering tons of food options. Plus, breakfast includes complimentary parking!

The room was spacious and quiet. Stepping out, you're right on Sanjie Liangxiang Dangyang Street. The service was thoughtful and attentive. My only minor complaint is that there wasn't enough complimentary drinking water; when you're traveling, it's always better to have an extra bottle or two. Across the street is Zhongshan Road, making transport very convenient. The hotel is also right by the Yongjiang River, where you can watch the iron flower performance.

This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. We arrived at 8 PM, and the front desk told us our room wasn't ready yet and made us wait. Not once did they offer an apology or express regret. [Hotel Hygiene] After they hastily cleaned the room, I walked in to a pungent stench that nearly knocked me out. And the room was incredibly noisy. [Service] I can honestly say their service awareness is zero. The front desk staff acted like it was none of their business; not a single person could solve the problem. They wasted an hour of my time before I could finally check in. Still no apology. [Hotel Environment] The facilities are extremely old. The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke, and worst of all, the bathroom and drains smelled terrible. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. The Trip.com customer service was decent; they tried their best to help us resolve the issue, but the hotel's attitude was abysmal and uncooperative. They made me run up and down, wasting a lot of my time, and showed no consideration for the customer's feelings. The elevator was also very slow, and the front desk staff was lazy and unhelpful. If you're traveling, whatever you do, don't choose this hotel. It genuinely ruined my mood.
