If you want to be transported back to a time and place filled with old-world charm, far from the madding crowd, book a stay at the Seven Sea Street Inn over Thanksgiving. The room was cozy, the bed was comfy, and the shower was strong and hot. Our innkeeper, Matt, and his manager, Charles, were often on-site making sure we were comfortable and helping us navigate restaurants and activities. Everything in downtown Nantucket, including the ferry, was within walking distance from the hotel, so there was no need for a car. We enjoyed delicious meals and drinks: Brotherhood of Thieves, Queequegs, and Sister Ship (booked in advance for Thanksgiving Day). Our last night, after the Tree Lighting, we picked up sandwiches and chocolate malts at the pharmacy in town and hunkered down back at the Inn. Mornings were a breeze with coffee and breakfast waiting downstairs. My friend did the "Turkey Cold Plunge" at Children's Beach, and we took an Island Tour for a larger perspective. There was plenty to do and see, including Joe Biden mingling and shaking hands - so friendly and cordial. But despite so many happenings, one of my favorite things was the long nap I took in the Library Room at Seven Sea Inn, the corner stove flaming, rain outside the windows, my pillow and a throw. Pure bliss, and a visit I will remember forever so fondly!
Response from Property: Thank you for this "favorite" review ... so happy you had a wonderful stay with us!

Well thank you for great 3days getaway. The Inn is filled with warmth, style and charm and the common area on each floor is the icing on the cake. Breakfast was well thought out and displayed perfectly. Great conversation and recommendations to restaurants. Your attention to details shows all over the inn. Thanks to you and your team for a memorable stay. Look forward to see you again soon.
Response from Property: Thank you and so glad you had a wonderful stay with us!

Excellent location. Very close to ferry and downtown. Car/ bike rental less than a block away. The inn is located on a quiet street. Rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms well appointed. Shower water pressure was amazing. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast provided by Charles was delicious. Fresh fruit, freshly made quiche, brioche, frittata. Coffee/tea bar available all day and cozy fire in the dining room.
Response from Property: Thank you and we’re so happy you enjoyed your stay with us!

My daughter and I have just returned recently from a stay at the Seven Sea Street Inn. The Inn is a charming 9 room Inn. Each room has its own bathroom. The rooms are very spacious with full amenities, robes, and a flat screen TV. The beds were extremely comfortable with luxury sheets. There is a beautiful garden out back that has plenty of furniture, a fire pit and soft lighting at night, Perfectly located downtown and a 5 minute walk from the Ferry. The Inn keeper Matt is very friendly, attentive and made us feel right at home. This Inn does not disappoint. Looking forward to our next stay.
Response from Property: Thank you for this wonderful review and so glad you had a great time with us. See you again soon!!

This is my 4th year at 7 Sea street inn. I love going there. The location is perfect, it is clean, on a quiet street, no pets, a place to park my car. Every thing I look for and Matt Parker is a pleasure to work with. I will be back next year.
Response from Property: Thank you for this great review and so glad we'll see you again next year!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS OR RISK LOSING YOUR HARD-EARNED MONEY. We planned a last-minute 24-hour trip from Martha’s Vineyard to Nantucket and booked a one-night reservation just an hour before our ferry was scheduled to depart. Unfortunately, the ferry was canceled due to weather. When we called the innkeeper to explain the situation, instead of offering a refund for our $800 reservation, he recommended we spend an additional $400 to fly from Martha’s Vineyard to Hyannis—despite dangerous weather—in order to try to catch a ferry from Hyannis to Nantucket. At that point, there were no ferries operating from Martha’s Vineyard, either to Nantucket or Hyannis. The suggestion was unsafe, impractical, and left us out $800 with no support. Save your money!

We had a lovely stay at this very friendly bed and breakfast. Our room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfasts are very hearty and tasty, and the entire staff is very accommodating and knowledgeable about Nantucket. I gave our room four stars only because of the thinness of the walls--I could hear the occupant of the room next door clearing his throat during the night.
Response from Property: So glad you had a great stay with us and thank you for this wonderful review!

Our stay at the Seven Sea Street Inn was a truly fabulous experience! The inn has a wonderful location a short walk from the ferry. Innkeeper Matthew answered all our questions prior to our arrival and arranged for the discounted advance purchase of our ferry tickets. He greeted us upon arrival and briefed us thoroughly on all the amenities including how to access the interesting widow's walk. Our room was immaculate, and our breakfast was scrumptious! What a tremendous introduction to Nantucket from our accommodating host!
Response from Property: Thank you for this wonderful review and so happy you had a great stay with us. Until we meet again!

This was not my first stay at 7 Sea Street Inn. This visit was with my wife and her cousin and husband (two rooms). The Inn, custom built years ago by Matthew, is inviting, comfortable, clean, neat and a convenient location to ferry wharfs & downtown but quiet on Sea Street. We took advantage of the bike rack and biked or walked everywhere (bike trail maps available at Inn). Matt’s morning breakfast is gourmet (don't miss it!). We also enjoyed the view of the harbor and solace of the rooftop patio with table and chairs …. Looking forward to the next time! Matthew and Claudia are wonderful hosts.
Response from Property: So glad you had a great time with us and thank you for this wonderful review!

The bed was very comfortable. When we checked in, however, the woman at the office was on the phone for about 15 minutes chatting in detail about the inn, and she kept us waiting. Not a great welcome. There was no shower gel in the stall. I made a note for the housekeeper but she didn’t put any. So we had to go to the office to get some. There are no grab bars or mat in the shower, so it’s slippery and dangerous. I found a mat in a closet in the hallway and used it. The bottom of the door inside the bathroom was either dirty or had black mold on it. The bathrobes were seedy and overall the place had a feeling of being tired and of having staff that didn’t communicate. The breakfast was nothing to speak of. Very underwhelming, but gave it a 3 instead of a 2 anyway.
Response from Property: We’re glad you found the bed comfortable and hope that meant you slept well each night with us. We’re sorry you were disappointed with other aspects of your stay with us however. It’s unfortunate our front desk manager was on the phone with another guest upon your arrival and not able to check you in promptly. A bad start for us then other issues can go from bad to worse. I’ve shared this review with our entire staff as an opportunity to improve on our hospitality and service going forward. Thank you for taking the time to write this review and please accept our sincere apologies. Matt (owner/innkeeper)

The Seven Seas is perfect for travelers who want quality without stuffiness. The location is fantastic with the whaling museum and lots of shops and restaurants within a few blocks. Breakfast was low key and relaxed. My wife especially enjoyed our room with a bathtub!

I had the most wonderful time at the Seven Seas Street Inn. I went with my mother, we vacationed together but each had our own rooms. She was on the first floor, I was on the second. Matt, the owner, immediately welcomed us. Our rooms were cozy, clean, and had everything we could possibly want. In fact, they had incredible water pressure. Breakfast was delicious every day and we enjoyed sitting in their outdoor sitting area for hours just talking. The Inn is very close to the center of town (just two blocks) and everything was walkable. 5 stars.
Response from Property: Thank you for this wonderful review and appreciate all the details ... so good we're going to designate it as our favorite for 2024! Matt

The Seven Sea Street Inn is a Nantucket gem! It's location right in town but away from the fray and noise is ideal. It's walkable from the ferries and to all of the restaurants and attractions you need. Matt's customer service was top notch, and the daily breakfast had me enjoying multiple servings. Everything was fresh, healthy, and hearty! The rooms are not fussy and very comfortable. I would recommend this gem to anyone.

Just returned from a lovely, long weekend at the Seven Sea Street Inn. My friend and I were attending the Nantucket Book Festival which is a definite "must" for anyone who loves to read. The Inn is an easy walk to anywhere in the area. The room was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Claudia was super friendly, knowledgable and provided a delicious, homemade breakfast buffet every morning. I'm not sure if I will ever get back to Nantucket - I have so many places I want to visit - but if and when I do I will be staying at the Seven Sea Street Inn!!!
