Stayed a couple in the national park region, this is definitely the best and have already booked for return trips

All facilities including the host was perfect including clean tidy and comfy bed .My only complaint would be the low pressure shower , apart from that it was 10 out of 10

Hotel options in Tongariro National Park, New Zealand, are indeed limited. Hotels closer to the town center tend to have small rooms. The mountain lodge we stayed at was located in a more remote area, surrounded by open grasslands, and the mountain scenery was quite nice. This lodge didn't have many rooms; I stayed in a second-floor room, and had to carry my luggage up the stairs. The room wasn't very large, but the bathroom was okay, and there was a large balcony. Breakfast was shared by the two bedrooms on the second floor and was rather simple. If you don't mind the small room size, I recommend staying in the town center for convenience; we had to drive 2 kilometers to the town center for dinner.

The hotel is just on the side of the road, with a few separate houses. It is about 3 kilometers away from the village for shopping, so you need to prepare food in advance. If you are going to hike to Tongariro Volcano, it is more than 20 kilometers away from the hiking shuttle bus. The hotel facilities are simple and can only be said to be livable.

The room has one large bed and two small beds, perfect for three people. Clean and tidy, you can make your own simple breakfast. There are also good restaurants around, which is convenient. This hotel is a good value for money hotel in the mountainous highlands.

The whole lodge is very cozy and the surrounding scenery is also very beautiful. The landlord will take the initiative to introduce the location and business hours of nearby gas stations, restaurants, etc. We went to Tongariro for hiking the next day, and the landlord also enthusiastically told us how to drive there the next day and whether we need to book a shuttle bus. There is a mini golf course in the town, which is very interesting~

Since this hotel we arrived at the location very late, the hotel is next to the road without a fence there is no space to turn sharply into the hotel when we found it is very dangerous❗️ And this hotel is located only next to the road, we stayed for two nights It's a lot like living on the street, because the hotel is only built out and can be moved at any time type! Maybe in the mountains this hotel charges very expensive, not at all appropriate, and the owner is very empty! By night there was no place to have dinner we drove out nearby only found 2 restaurants, so the area was quieter! One of the restaurants is a hotel attached to this one is not too good conditions, but at least stronger than the one we chose to stay in, the room price is also half cheaper, there are more people! Half of them are locals who come to ski and choose to live! And compared to the one we chose, ours was very shabby!
