In the Gredos Mountains, surrounded by mountains and wilderness! 40 minutes drive from Avila! You can see the snow-capped mountains and glaciers! Unique natural scenery The hotel is very good! The breakfast is also very rich! Only suitable for driving to check in!

One of the receptionists was less than helpful given that 3 of our party are Amigos of Paradores and the food during dinner was disappointing particularly the bland and stodgy vegetable cannelloni. Breakfast was good, as always with Paradores but a bit hectic. It felt too much like a canteen during dinner and breakfast. Room was spacious and comfortable.

Lovely setting in stunning countryside with good food & good service. All round excellent stay & we will definitely be back, takes a little effort to reach the hotel, as a bit off the beaten track, but really well worth it.

The site is excellent—the parador interesting because of historical and landscape reasons. But we felt the whole service machinery was understaffed. The menu items are very scarce as there were served dishes precooked microwave heated before served. At the bar they served us a dish of Iberian ham which was half made of grease or fat. To complain about this was useless, nobody seems to care of customers' complaints.

The Parador is in a beautiful situation, very comfortable and welcoming. We loved it. The lounges are very comfortable places to relax and the terraces have stunning views.

We booked a junior suite. The renovated bathroom with double rain, waterfall and massage showers was up to today’s comfort standards. All the rest needs a bit of overall refurbishment. Good cuisine, friendly staff. Parking on site. And yes, so historic being the first Parador in a beautifull location.

This Parador is located in a wonderful, unspoilt area. Great for hiking and Motorcycling. Lovely veranda and great views

While larger than a lodge, this Parador had a rustic lodge feel to it. There was plenty of common space to socialize, including a room with a large fireplace. There was seating with a view of the mountain running the entire length of the property. Our room was a little more basic than some Paradors and the mattresses firmer than we prefer. It did have a safe and mini bar. It did not have a kettle to boil water for tea. Check in was quick. The staff was very pleasant. While there is a cafeteria with a full menu, only a very few items could be ordered prior to 20:30. That is the same time the restaurant opens. Seems like one would be able to order food at any time.

We had a very good time during our visit. The staff were very attentive and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

We had a fantastic two nights at the Parador de Gredos. The building was stunning and our superior room was fantastic with a four poster bed and a large terrace on the top floor with breathtaking views. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Really enjoyed our stay.

What a beautiful place in the woods - and a great place to enjoy with your kids and your pets. As usual, the Paradors outdo themselves in terms of breakfast, and the restaurant is beautiful with great food. there's a game room with ping pong and pool tables, and in the summer, a pool - and there are excellent hiking trails all around.
