Villa Hundira

This was a perfect relaxing family holiday at a luxury resort.. Our family of four stayed for 2 nights at the spacious Water Suite. The setting inside the suite as well as at the property is idyllic. Booking process : Booked directly & got the right type of advice on choosing a suitable villa. Airport pickup : seamless booking & on time pick up in a comfortable van. Check in & check out : Smoothly handled. Swimming pool : well maintained in the backdrop of the lagoon. Dining area : Outdoor dining area is set up very well. Staff : Friendly & well informed staff. Well led by the Manager Janaka. A shout out to Pasindu for his quick service. Spa : Don't miss the spa therapy. The service provided by the Spa Therapist Noresha to us was top class. Overall a luxurious stay in a top class boutique hotel.

Amazing space - a rambling colonial style villa with hidden spaces - pools and a little bar area, all nestled on creeks coming off the lake. The food was possibly the best we had in SL. Simple but delicious. There was even a kids playroom. Staff were above and beyond when we thought we had lost our wallet. They were exceptional (we ended up finding it in our luggage!!). They also organised a great van to take us to the airport.

What a totally awesome hotel this is. The staff are very attentive. The prices are fantastic. The facilities are superb. They made us feel very welcome and upgraded us for our wedding anniversary. Just walk through the door into paradise. 2 large swimming pool. And two small ones. Great wildlife to see. Feels very unique

Beautiful boutique hotel , formerly a private home. Our booking experience was excellent thanks to Chanchala who was super responsive and helpful . The rooms are pretty and spacious . We had a cooking demonstration , it was lovely and the food was delicious . Everyone was kind and helpful . Lots of interesting experiences to choose from. Few things to improve : It was super hot and the AC wasn’t turned on prior to our arrival so it took time for the room and us to cool down . Same when we went for a massage - the room was extremely hot which it didn’t have to be if the AC was on prior to our booking . The pool had lots of leaves and insects . We cleaned it ourselves with the net . All in all , very good place to stay in negombo . Would definitely recommend .

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Was our first stop on our tour of Sri Lanka. Convenient for the airport. Had originally planned to stay one night but extended it to two which was a great decision. Fabulous, spacious room(s)! Very good food and first class service throughout. A visit to the fish markets in Negombo is a must.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this beautiful and romantic place, built on mangrove islands. The hotel with its various buildings offers many diverse relaxing locations, including swimming pools, library, bar, etc. The restaurant offers excellent meals with Sri Lankan and Western tastes.

This hotel is a really welcome retreat. Although quite a way out of Negombo, we stayed here the night before we flew back to the UK whereas many people also use it as the place to adjust to local SR time when you arrive. It is clean, beautifully decorated, the staff are amazing and very professional and we loved the fact that there is no specific dining room for meals, just tables dotted throughout the resort and close to your rooms. The two pools were like warm baths, and although fairly busy the hotel never felt over crowded. The only small downside is you are on the airport flight path (compensated for by a quick journey there!) but as we live closeby Gatwick airport this did not bother us at all. This hotel accommodated our every need and I have no hesitation in recommending it to other travellers.

We had an amazing time during our recent stay at Villa Hundira, Negombo. We, eight childhood school mates, decided to spend our weekend away at this beautiful villa. We were welcomed with warmth and hospitality as soon as we entered the foyer. The GM, Janaka, and the guest relations officer, Pasindu, made sure our stay was enjoyable from beginning to end by accommodating our many requests which made the check-in process swift and easy. The rooms were spacious, tidy, and stunningly furnished. The room's amenities were kept up to date, the attention to detail was genuinely amazing, and the beds were comfy, ensuring a good night's sleep. Ashika, and the cleaning staff, kept our rooms immaculate and made sure we had all we needed during our stay. We also want to commend the restaurant staff for their delicious food. The service during our meals was wonderful. The three Stewards who served us Reginald, Jayantha and Chamod went above and beyond to accommodate all our requests and make sure we had an enjoyable dining experience. Furthermore credit has to be given to Nirusha for all the hard work she put in at the Spa. Thank you to the reservations manager Chanchala, for making our booking process smooth and trouble free. Beyond the perfect accommodations and dining, what truly set Villa Hundira apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable, ensuring all our needs were met promptly. Thank you, Villa Hundira, for making our weekend away unforgettable.
