Just back from a really relaxing week spent at the Souli Beach Hotel in Neo Chorio. The hotel is very quiet and relaxed with many of the holiday makers seemingly having stayed there many times before. There were very few young people or children staying when we were there with most of the visitors being of retirement age. I don't know whether this is the general make up of visitors throughout the year or due to the fact that children had gone back to school after the summer break before we got there. We chose the half board option and the menu was varied and food delicious. Being able to sit at a reserved table in the hotels beach side restaurant for meals was a real treat and every one of the hotel and restaurant staff staff was helpful and courteous. The harbour at Latchi is a ten to fifteen minute walk away and there is a bus which stops just outside the hotel which will take you into Polis or up to the Baths of Aphrodite. We booked a sea view room on the first floor. It was obviously not one of the refurbished rooms shown on the hotel's and jet2's web site and was a little tired and dated but met all of our needs. The wifi is excellent in all areas and although the tv has no English channels you can find some English language films to watch later in the evening if you want to watch some tv. I imagine the reason that the hotel only gets a two star rating is due to the fact that not all of the rooms have been refurbished but don't let this put you off. The bed was comfy and the room was cleaned every day and was spotless. We paid the €4.50 a day for the fridge to keep milk, beers and drinks cold and the €5 a day for the aircon. However it was only towards the end of the holiday when it became particularly humid that we found we needed it on during the night. Because our seaview room overlooking the pool and restaurant was in the shade all day it didn't get over bearingly hot and it was pleasant to sit out on the balcony. As we were only staying for a week we didn't hire a car but had we been staying for longer we definitely would have done. The pool area never seemed crowded but we chose to spend most days on the beach where sun beds and parasols can be hired for €2.50 per item. Its only a five minute walk away and generally cooler due to the sea breeze . You definitely need to wear rock shoes to get in and out of the sea as the beach consists of very course sand and shingle and the sea floor is covered with large boulders. The mini bus transfer, to and from the hotel took around 50 minutes and the pick up was on time. Regular texts and emails from jet2 kept us up to date with information throughout our stay. The jet2 rep visited on time to help with any queries. We were able to pay €30 to keep our room until we checked out in the evening which meant we could make the most of our last day. If you want a really quiet, relaxing, stress free, value for money break in a beautiful area of Cyprus then I would recommend a holiday at the Souli Beach

Fantastic! As travel staff in the UK. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively. I have stayed in some of the lost luxurious hotels of the world, but this has to top them. Service impeccable, food outstanding, facilities outstanding, rooms luxury and spacious. I have never returned to a hotel twice however, The Cap St George will be my exception and I will return. The most wonderful place to stay in Paphos. From the moment you arrive you are treated excellent from every member of staff. Very friendly, warm and polite and cannot do enough for you. We stayed last year and didn’t even consider going anywhere else this year as the hotel had everything you could possibly want… excellent food and choice from morning til night, great location all round, bus (cheap as chips) and very frequent. The room was absolutely amazing (even better than last year) with the maid coming in every day. Super clean in every part of the hotel and beautiful grounds. Have to say Agatha on the front desk is a real credit to the hotel going above and beyond so anything you need to know…. ask Agatha. Thank you to all the lovely and incredibly hard working staff, we had the best time ever and are already looking at dates for next year.

Overall it was a nice hotel with a good pool and the food was tasty. We were bed and breakfast and decided to eat in the main restaurant (katoi) for one of the nights. On the large restaurant booking screens we saw there was an a la carte menu with lots of reasonably priced meals (circa €15) so planned to have this. When we turned up they said there was only the buffet available (€33) which was quite expensive, but we couldn’t go anywhere else in the hotel as it all needed pre booking. The staff had never heard of this menu. When we checked in with our toddler we were hoping there would be a cot in the room already. There wasn’t so we called for one, which we were told would be right there. An hour later nothing had turned up, so we rang again and were told it would be there after we returned from dinner. When we got back there was a bed being set up which was totally unsuitable. We had to ring again by which time it was ages after her bedtime.
