Stayed with a group of 16 for a Hockey Tournament at nearby Schwarz Weiss Neuss (Hockey and Tennis Club) Nice check in, told by staff member bar would not be open that evening (Thursday or the Friday) given room 204 overlooking some units, but very quiet so a bonus, no noise. Clean bright room with two patio doors which we left open all day / night as no air conditioning but kept the room cool. Plenty storage, wardrobe/drawers. Kettle, everything you need.Friendly welcome from staff at breakfast, enjoyed fruit juice. tasty rolls, yogurts cereals on offer, hot dishes available. the scrambled eggs were delicious always kept hot. tea/coffee machines impressed with the breakfast on offer. We were visiting hotel as part of a Hockey Tournament so a lot of teams staying, why the bar remained closed during our 4 night stay is a mystery. they also have an outside seating area, which with the good weather we had. would of been ideal to sit at after returning to the hotel after a match. We all met at reception before heading out to eat. but had to make do with bottled beer from a fridge next to reception desk, which was charged to your room, Bizarre as hotel would of made a fortune had the bar been open. The Saturday evening the hotel hosted the Hockey Dinner (buffet)for all the teams to attend, held in a large function area with a bar, Slow service to begin with as a server was allocated a few tables. but between table service and someone going to the bar it wasn't a problem. We were seated near to the buffet, there was also another buffer for the tables round the corner. Cannot complain about the food. Good selection and all food was kept hot (always a bonus,) A very enjoyable evening, Danke. Overall enjoyed our visit and stay in hotel, located in a nice area, enjoy a short walk to restaurants/Lidl and shops. Or walk cycle through the park. :) :)

B&B HOTEL Neuss

Location was great. Close to Dusseldorf and Mochengladbach. An U-Bahn stop right in front of the hotel. (On-site) Parking was not an issue. If you want to check in during off hours a phone call/email to the hotel, or self check-in at the front door of the hotel will do. Room was clean and quiet. Yes it's tiny but sufficient to a family of four in our case. While the name B&B suggests bed and breakfast, breakfast is not automatically included but can be purchased on site. We got yelled at because we did not purchase the breakfast in advance and walked in and prepared to eat. But wait! We can always pay for it (later) right? The staff covering the morning shift that day argued that people 'normally' pay first (so we can not pay later?!).... To be fair, the dining area was clean and welcoming, and foods were there. There were no signages saying that 'Please pay before sitting down' or 'Please wait here to be seated'. The bottom line is that there is no reason to yell at people, right? Just kindly put down a bill/check would yield a much better travel experience. How did the entire incidence end? We paid for the breakfast, but did not eat anything. We walked across the street and had our breakfast at the McDonald's. We did not want to eat in a bad mood with a rude staff.

The hotel and the apartment are in a secluded yard. We parked the car at the hotel entrance and there was no charge. The hotel has an underground car park that may charge. There is a road in front of the hotel for everyone to run on weekends. Suitable for self-driving travel, there is no supermarket hotel around

Extremely helpful staff, well located hotel with ample secure parking (for a small fee). We were in Neuss attending a funeral having travelled from the UK. Reception was exceptionally helpful arranging for our PCR results to be printed out before our departure if we needed them to. Breakfast and dinner were excellent even though dinner had to be taken in the bar as the restaurant was closed.

Booked this for a business trip to a nearby multinational company. I cannot recommend the hotel for three reasons. 1.) Did not like my room. You can see they put some money into renovations since they reflagged from Swissotel. However, I had an old, small TV. And the bathroom felt dated. Room wasn't particularly large, either. 2.) No IHG Spire Elite status recognition. I received no room upgrade--not even an upgraded view--despite the hotel not being full. No ”thank you for your loyalty” at check-in. No welcome card or little present in the room, either. No other benefits. 3.) Service recovery was poor. During check-out, I mentioned to the front-desk agent that I found the lack of elite recognition disappointing. He said that obviously, I would have received the free Diamond breakfast (Diamond is IHG's new name of the Spire tier). However, that was the same agent who checked me in. During check-in, he gave me the breakfast upsell pitch (”I see you booked a rate without breakfast...but if you still want to have breakfast...”). There was no mention of a free breakfast benefit whatsoever! So I felt the employee did not resolve the issue in a fully satisfactory manner.

The hotel is very oversightful, the reception is 24 hours occupied, and very friendly. Breakfast is available from 6:00 to 10:00, it is very good and sufficient- everything fresh! Rooms are small, but there is everything you need and they are very clean. Very recommended! Price performance is perfect!
