Casa Central

I stayed at Casa Central for a few nights. While the hotel has some positives, the negatives outweighed them for me. Positives: * The room was clean (marble floor), especially compared to other hotels in the Paharganj area. * The AC worked fine. * My room was spacious with two bathrooms and plenty of electric outlets. * Convenient location, about an 8-minute walk to the RK Ashram Marg metro station, though New Delhi Metro Station is a bit farther (around 20 minutes). * The owner, Mr. Anand, was overall very kind. Negatives: * The hotel didn’t provide change for payments under 100 INR, as if it were standard practice. * The Wi-Fi was unreliable, making it difficult to handle Zoom meetings. * The TV was disconnected from the cable (see the attached photo), so we could only use YouTube (when the Wi-Fi allowed). * Basic amenities like shampoo and soap had to be requested in person at the front desk (no phone in the room). * My room wasn’t cleaned, and the trash wasn’t emptied unless requested. * Though likely not the hotel’s fault, we noticed potential water quality issues from the shower. We used a filtering shower head, which became dirty after just a few days (photo attached). Overall, while there were some good aspects, I’d probably look for another place to stay on my next visit to New Delhi.

We stayed at Casa Central 2 times in the last week of July. The room was decent, and the air conditioner worked superbly. The cleanliness of the room and washroom was exceptional, making it one of the cleanest hotels in this dusty area. The hotel staff was cooperative, and the nature and behavior of the *** at the reception were heartwarming. I will definitely love to visit again.

One of the least helpful receptionists i have ever met. Regardless of the question you will ask you won’t get any help or proper answer. I was told i can pay half of the amount in credit card when i asked him but then at check out he told only cash which was terrible cause i had to look for a working atm at the middle of the night. Beside that, room was nice (bed was awful though), location is good and overall clean.

We had a really nice stay in January 2023. The *** at reception was very nice and super helpful. He helped us barter with taxi drivers and organise sim cards. The banana pancakes on the rooftop were awesome too and rooms were very clean.
