good location, near Ikea

The Hotel Marcel was quite Modern and very aesthetically pleasing! Upon arrival, I could tell this hotel was full of charm and personality. I especially enjoyed my stay in a corner suite with a King bed. The bathroom was very luxurious and I felt as though it was something out of a magazine. Overall, my stay was very comfortable and affordable. If I had one gripe it would be that the interior of the room was very dim in lighting even when the lights were fully on (touch censored lighting was available). I wish more light was able to be in the room.

The room is like a box, clean and hygienic! The parking lot is right in front of the hotel, free of charge, very convenient. The food in the restaurant is not bad, but the fire alarm scared me so much that I ran downstairs in my pajamas, and it was raining, which was actually a mistake. 🥹

The rooms in this hotel are quite nice. The twin room is big enough, the facilities are environmentally friendly, simple and clean, and very design-oriented. Sparkling water is available in the corridor, and the children love it. The only bad thing is that the front desk gave me a room with a window facing the inner patio, so there is no view at all, and the frosted glass can only let in a little light. Fortunately, we arrived at night and only stayed for one night, so we didn't change rooms. The hotel is very close to Yale, and it can be reached in ten minutes by car. There is an IKEA mall next to the hotel, and there is a shared free parking lot. But apart from IKEA, there seems to be nothing else.

Although the New Haven Marcel Hotel is next to the highway, it is not noisy at all because its glass is soundproof. Don't worry about it. The hotel is very close to downtown New Haven and Yale University. It feels like you can walk there.

The hotel is newly renovated. The smart touch panel controls the lights and curtains. It is rare to have a kettle for making tea and coffee. It is also rare that the shower room is not a bathtub, which is more convenient. The room has no window! No windows! There is a false window facing the patio! The air conditioner was extremely noisy and couldn't be turned off, and the two spotlights on the roof kept flashing and were broken. Worst experience ever. The front desk is very cold and there is no service at all. Please be careful!

It is a new hotel, so the basic conditions are met. The restaurant on the first floor is good, and the service is very good! The room is not big. Interestingly, there is an IKEA one minute away. If you are sending your children to school, staying for two days to buy things, it is very good.

This hotel is new, the rooms are clean and spacious, and it is by the sea with a nice view. Parking is free. It is a 12-minute drive from the main campus of Yale University, which is very convenient.
