Crowne Plaza New Orleans French Qtr - Astor

The only good thing about the hotel is location. Rest everything sucks big time. There was no Hot Water for the shower in the rooms, had to shower with ice cold water and eventually caught cold. The Carpet smelled so bad and the corridor floors were dirty. Guest Services staff was super rude and cleaning staff kept knocking on the door even if Do no disturb sign was on. No Sound proofing, Super noisy when neighbouring doors are opened / closed. No Late checkout provided, no water in rooms. Far from 4 star hotel, more like a motel.

Great place to stay! Right on Bourbon and Canal Streets! Only downside was trying to drop off luggage and valet the car off of Canal can be tricky.

We booked this trip for a birthday treat. We thought the room was spacious, clean & had a massive TV. We had a bath & shower & a king sized bed. It’s next to Bourbon Street so loud music but earplugs are supplied. Reception staff are extremely helpful & provide recommended restaurants & places that deliver food to the hotel We didn’t use the gym or pool but would highly recommend this hotel for location. 5 mins from the Mississippi River

Quality of the building is not so good (old) and the staff member is not so friendly

To check into the room was a breeze. The customer service rep was excellent at his job and even helped me get information about a tour I had booked. The room itself was shabby or well worn looking and smelled. Maid service was good in that the bed was made everyday, but the bed itself was lumpy. There were rust stains in the bathtub. To step outside to smoke a cigarette, one is bombarded with homeless people asking for money or cigarettes. Seems more could have been done to safeguard guests standing in front of the hotel waiting for something or just getting a breath of fresh air from such harassment. I then found out there was a balcony on the 2nd floor where guests could go to smoke their cigarette. The view from the balcony is excellent as it looks right down on Burbon Street, what a treat. Spending days exploring the city and later going to the balcony in the evenings became a routine for me. That is until one night leaving the balcony heading toward the elevator I ran up upon a woman who was stooped down peeing on the floor by the wall that has a picture of a lady with a piece of paper over her eyes. There were bathrooms on the second floor, so I couldn't understand why she would do that. I guess that speaks to the type of person she is. I was appalled. If that is a representation of the type of people who book rooms at the Astor, then that hotel is not the hotel for me! No, I will never stay there again

It was very good location excellent

The staff was AMAZING and very helpful....EVERY ONE of them. However, the room was very cold and the engineer was unable to fix the thermostat. Ww warmed the blankets with the hair dryer. The hot water in the room was scalding hot. We informed staff so it could be addressed prior to anyone being injured.

First time in New Orleans and my husband and I were very pleased with our visit. Hotel accommodations were up to par. The staff was incredibly pleasant and helpful with recommendations that were spot on!!! The location of this hotel is perfectly in walking distance of attractions and dining. Looking forward to visiting again next year…Super Bowl 2025!!!

Located in great area. I did not receive the room with 2 beds that I reserved and actually paid more for. The room I did receive was not cleaned properly and there were some blood stains in various places of the roomWhen leaving at checkout time the lady in the lobby trying to keep area clear of people was very rude to everyone she talked to. The velet gentleman and bag checker was very nice and helpful. I give a total 2 stars …mainly because of location.
