Holiday Inn Club Vacations New Orleans Resort

The hotel is in a great location, 1 block from Canal and the French Quarter as well as 1 block from both the St. Charles and Canal St. trolleys. It's in a beautifully renovated historic building, the rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff is absolutely outstanding. It felt like a big, warm hug when we arrived and stayed that way throughout our stay. Special shout out to the wonderful staff: Newman, Ms. Sue, Dyma, Donny, Tony, Vic, Tanya and the GM, Purnell Vick. If you are so inclined, it is also about 3-4 blocks to Harrah's ******. Lots of good restaurants around the area. Along Canal St and in the next block of Carondelet, some sketchy characters.

wow! So far this property is our favorite of the Holiday Inn Resorts. Put on your seat belt when you enter for two things. 1. The great, no SUPER customer service you will receive by the ROCK STAR guest service agent! If I was still in the hospitality business and not retired, I WOULD TRY AND STEAL HER! Entrance of the facility is very nice and has a cool light show. The facility old but GREAT. If you go during a cold snap I would call and ask them if they can turn on the heat an hour or so before you arrive. The building is historic, and they can do some of the needed upgrades ... like the windows. If your a owner and you go to the sales offices for a meeting/update. We had a pooer experience with a young lady who checked us in. I have brought it up to the GM and the Sales management team. Hopefully they have corrected the attitude, and you will not have to experience the short fall in customer service. With that said, GREAT GREAT stay, great location, great room, cool roof top small pool. GM is amazing and the staff mirrors him minus one LOL

This property is in a great location. That’s about all it has going for it. Went for New Years Eve, requested a room with a view of the fireworks. Front desk clerk said we were in luck and would have a great view! Then we were handed off to a timeshare rep who clearly changed our room location after we declined to sit for their presentation. Rooms are basic. Nothing fancy for the price.

Short stay but very pleasant. Check in was a breeze thanks to Brie . We stayed in the 2 bedroom villa. It was very roomy. My only suggestion is a full length mirror. Would definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend avoiding this place, and its associated connection to Holiday Inn Resort Packages. It's a scam. They will take your money on technicalities. Find somewhere else that is reputable, not a scam, and safer.

The bedroom, walk-in closet, living room and kitchen were spacious and comfortable. Location, while sketchy for a short block, was excellent in conjunction with Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. We were able to utilize the public transportation trolleys and buses with the jazzy pass*. The only hiccup we had was our initial check in experience. We were early and anxious to get on our way downtown and the HGI representative was a bit less than courteous to us. He wanted to introduce us to all the specials he could offer that were affiliate groups with local tourist activities and we just wanted our key…but that didn’t damp in our trip. New Orleans has a lot to offer and this was a great place to visit!

The sales pitch before you get your room key wasn’t appreciated when my family had been up since 3am. Then they called the room constantly trying to get us on tours. The floor wasn’t very clean so we had our shoes on the entire time. The lighting in the kitchen isn’t great either. The room size was great and the location was perfect so all was not lost!

I went to New Orleans for a girls trip for my birthday. We were welcomed upon arrival by Ms Sue, she was such a sweet lady.  We arrived too early to check in, Ms Sue took our bags and gave us Mardi Gras beads.  She gave us a map of the area so we could explore the area until our room was ready. She also suggested a few placed in the area to eat. The front desk staff took my cell phone number and would text us when the room was ready. Our room was very spacious, it was a one bedroom with a full kitchen.  We did not use the kitchen but it was convenient to have if you need it. There was not a view from the room we had, but we did not stay in the room much so it was not an issue. The location is the best!  You are one block from Bourbon St.  Close enough to be in the heart of New Orleans but far enough away to get away from it all and get rest.   Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance or a trolly ride away. We had an awesome time here and were discussing our next trip back before we left.  Ms Sue added to our amazing experience.  She made us feel like family, we gave her a big hug when checking out.  I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting New Orleans.  

This is my third visit to this location as a club member. Everything was great until after I returned home from my visit and noticed that there was a $250 charge to my credit card for a deep cleaning of the unit. After calling the front desk, I was told by housekeeping that soiled adult diapers was left in my unit. I was shocked and found this to not possible to be true. First of all, me nor my guest wear adult diapers. Second - I removed all trash from the unit and placed the dirty dishes in the dishwasher before I checked out. This is what we do before checking out of any of the units that we have stayed in and there has been many over the past 20 years. I was also told that there was a hazardous odor in the room. I don't know what happen to that unit after I left but that was not the way I left it. After, another call they seem to be sticking to their story. I think this was a way for housekeeping to earn some overtime money. So now I have ti dispute this charge with my credit card company. As you can guess by now, I am not a happy customer. Be sure to check your credit card account for a deep cleaning charge after you check out from this location.
