The Blue60 Marigny Inn

The biggest pro is its close proximity (7 min. walk) to Frenchman street. It has an eclectic decor and is relatively quiet. We stayed in the porch suite and there was plenty of room inside. However, it has a significant homeless population around it. We did not encounter any issues but you should know it is a reality. Parking around it does take some work to find most times. The fixtures and walls in the bathroom are dated and show signs of wear. The AC worked but it seemed that humidity still managed to creep in. We went in early spring so there was a lot of dead/dormant foliage outside. The back seemed like a construction zone.

The location of the Inn is excellent as it is within walking distance to Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. Plenty of free parking is available in the vicinity (although it could be challenging to find parking close to the Inn on the weekends). We stayed at The Inn for three nights in August 2024 at the Porch Suite overlooking the garden patio. The approach to the room from the entrance, although pretty, is narrow and may be difficult to navigate while carrying (no you can’t roll them on the path) suitcases to the room. The room is spacious with a bedroom and a separate living area. Amenities include a coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and two TVs. We found the bathroom to be relatively small and outdated; sink did not drain properly and the shower area was very small. During our stay we did not have any warm water for taking a shower; we did inform the host who asked us to run the water for a few minutes, however, when that did not work the management discovered that the hot water heater was damaged and had to be replaced. And there were no Complimentary Beekman 1802 Toiletry Products in our bathroom as stated on their website. Not sure how this Inn has received an “Exceptional” rating on *******! I have stayed in many BnBs and Inns in New Orleans and this one for the price was not even a fair deal – far from the number one rating it has received on Trip Advisor.

Excellent place to stay in New Orleans. Spotless. Close but not too close to the French Quarter…. Maybe a 10 minute walk. The proprietor was super helpful and had a 3 ring binder of favorite close by restaurants and clubs. I have and will continue to recommend this guesthouse to others.

Absolutely loved staying here. The owner was gracious and accommodating. He made us feel completely at home! This will be my home away from home whenever I am in the Big Easy. An easy stroll to Frenchman Avenue. The jazz clubs and eateries are only 5 to 8 min away. Grocery store across the street. Location was 10 min walk to French Quarters. The courtyards were lush with greenery with swings to sit and enjoy the outdoor air and take a pause. The hot tub was always ready for a dip. Gave such a private feeling to each guestroom. So much better stay here than a hotel room!

My wife and I had a wonderful time. Check-in was simple and fast. The decor and aesthetic is quirky, charming, and rich with NOLA character. The location is excellent, with easy walking access to areas of interest. We stayed in the River room, which was quite spacious and comfortable. Coffee maker and mini fridge in room were helpful. The shower is small, so be aware. Also, the room faces the street and traffic noise was loud at times but not terrible. There are plenty of good choices for food, drinks, and live music nearby, though, so all in all an excellent stay. Recommended for couples that appreciate a spacious room, nice decor, and proximity to the sights.

Location! We really felt we landed in the perfect spot; close to Frenchman and walkable in the day to The French Quarter. Groceries across the street and bike rentals nearby. Thank you for the comfortable stay.
