Renaissance New Orleans Arts Warehouse District Hotel

Arts-Warehouse New Orleans|0.47km from Ogden Museum of Southern Art
First the positives, great location away from the French Quarter fray and close to many great restaurants (Pêche, Emeril’s, Cochon, Sofia). Staff was friendly and responsive. AC works well and the beds are comfortable. We’ve stayed here many times over the years and consistently had good experience. The negatives? Three things: 1. First and primary there is significant construction happening, so don’t plan on sleeping in. It is constant drum beat of someone banging on a pipe. Starting around 8am. All day. Every day. Even on weekends. Even on Sunday. It really gets annoying. It’s really hard to overcome that in my review. 2. Rooms and hotel are getting really dated. Some of the furniture is scratched and partly broken. Bathrooms look tired and low end. Amenities are few, pool still isn’t open. It just doesn’t feel like a Renaissance. Hoping the construction is to update the hotel for our next trip! 3. As mentioned in previous reviews, not much of an upgrade experience for frequent travelers. The VIP room is literally a closet with small water bottles, a coffee machine, and a few chips. Normally if a lounge is closed, I get a free breakfast for two. Instead you get a $15 coupon which doesn’t buy breakfast for one in the restaurant. Food quality was pretty poor too (again, very friendly staff though). Maybe I am complaining too much about the upgrade experience, but with over 700 hotel nights at Marriott properties, I am pretty good judge about amenities and service. Bottom line: Poor review from my recent stay in April 2023 due to the constant construction noise. I’ll try to stay here again, but I’ll be checking on the construction progress before I do.

I took my cousin to New Orleans for his 21st bday and the place was great for the price and customer service helped me book an extra day because we didn’t wanna leave! The place was in a great area but the parking sucked.

This was a nice base for our business meetings (off site) - plenty of on-site amenities and numerous walkable options. The room was quiet - I had a balcony room over the pool on the fourth floor. If the pool was busier it might be a but noisy for the second floor (opens to the pool) but my experience was quiet. The only complaint I have is not with this property specifically, but with certain Marriott hotels. As many hotels have done, Marriott has transitioned to the pump bottles on the wall in the shower. This is fine, but the font size and contrast are terrible when you are trying to distinguish shampoo from body wash. Even with my glasses I had to get close, and without them it's hopeless. Other hotels have contrasting colors and larger fonts - that's really the only issue I had with my stay.

My stay here was wonderful ❤️❤️❤️Beautiful spacious one bedroom suite with a double balcony. City views from the balcony were gorgeous. Efficient and friendly staff and food and drink were plentiful and delicious.

The breakfast was exceptional, the fruit was delicious, and the bread and yogurt were very good. Although it was not a Chinese breakfast, it felt good. You can add an extra bed. It ’s especially convenient to have a kitchen. Chinese people are not used to eating. You can go to a nearby Wal-Mart to order something and you can cook by yourself
