We’ve been owners for nearly ten years, and always look forward to our next visit. We now have 4 weeks here, and often use points from a 5th timeshare… to spend even more time here. You’d be hard pressed to find another place that’s right on the beach, is so reasonably priced, has such a great staff, and is in such close proximity to outdoor activities, a well stocked grocery store, various shops and bars, and both casual and fine dining.

I usually love to stay at the Islander Beach Resort. Not this time. I stayed 2 weeks with RCI exchange and could not be on ocean side of resort. Pool was drained. Good hot tub though. Beach is always a good place to walk and reflect. Rocket take-off was fun to watch. Like the resorts’ location.

We had stayed here a couple times before and those stays were fine. This time was totally different. The unit was so uncomfortable from temperature to couch to the bed and pillows. It was not a restful place to stay. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness especially the shower. Evidently this place has been purchased by Capital Vacations. After checking in we were referred to a desk to get our “welcome” package. We would have walked right past as we have no need of a welcome package and immediately knew it was a timeshare scam. The man at the desk called us by name so we were polite and listened. We were there for a couple days R&R and not to spends hours listening to a presentation for something we already knew we had NO interest in. We will never stay here again.

Love this place - humble and nostalgic. Great pool. Clean. Walking distance from Flagler. Warm and helpful staff. Uncomfortable bedding - needs updating. Cute kitchens. Balcony overlooking ocean. Towels and pillows need updating.

This room was advertised as ocean views with balcony when I booked it. There is no indication during the checkout process that a studio apartment does not come with an ocean view. I had been so looking forward to sitting on the balcony and listening to the ocean so I could decompress . During check-in was when I discovered that my room did not have a balcony or an ocean view, When explaining to her that the room I thought I booked was a balcony with a view the front desk staff smirked and said only one bedroom apartments have a view. So I figured fine fine it’s already been a long day. I’ll just go to my room. And here this is the meat and potatoes of why I have left a bad review The building itself is dated and smells the hallways smell of mildew and mold. The room that I am crammed into (facing the parking lot ) is horrible, floors are dirty the fake plastic plants are dusty. The xtra small couch has a God knows what awful stain, the bed is horribly uncomfortable with paper thin pillows.

We so enjoyed our week at the Islander. The room was very clean upon check in. All staff very nice to chat with. Beautiful ocean view and heated pool and 2 HUGE HOT TUBS were amazing. They also have beach chairs you can use to carry on the sand, so you don't even need to bring your own chairs! Such a clean and friendly place.

The Islander remains my favorite RCI destination. A special thanks to Jo Ann for her quick resolution of an issue. My thanks to the Islander staff for the great stay as always. It's understandable why the staff remains for decades.

Even though the units are a little dated, very beachy and nice size for a one bedroom. This is our 3rd time here and will come again! Ocean view spectacular!! Keep in mind only the 1 bedrooms have a balcony. That is a must for us.
