Forte Hotel Xizhi

The lobby looked quite spacious and new, and the room also appeared clean and tidy. My only minor complaint was a faint, soapy smell when I first entered. I'm not sure if I just got used to it or if it dissipated over time, as I was staying for two nights. On the second day, when I returned from outside, I smelled it again, and I'm still not sure what caused it. Aside from that, I was quite satisfied with this place! I hope they can always maintain this level of cleanliness!

This hotel is great overall! My advice for booking hotels in Taiwan is to try and pick newer ones. Otherwise, you might end up with a 'five-star' experience that feels like stepping back decades into an old guesthouse.

I highly recommend this hotel! The concierge proactively helped with my luggage during check-in, and the front desk staff processed everything quickly while also providing helpful reminders. The freshly baked bread and congee at breakfast were delicious, and the servers were quick to refill tea and clear plates. Both the service and food were impeccable.
